Founding Engineer, Platform & Security

Full-time · London or Remote

Engineer #2 on the platform team. Every AI agent action Navige governs flows through a real-time interception pipeline you'll help build, harden, and scale — not a mockup, a system already running against real customer traffic.

About the role

Navige is a real-time checkpoint AI agents pass through before they touch anything real — a governance and audit layer between an agent and the tools it calls. You'd be the second engineer on the platform, working directly with the founder from day one.

This isn't a greenfield pitch. The core pipeline is live: a Fastify gateway intercepting Model Context Protocol tool calls and a generic real-time enforcement endpoint for anything else, a deterministic policy engine (no LLM in the decision path — every allow/deny/approve decision is reproducible, on purpose), an append-only audit ledger, and optional tamper-evident anchoring to Polygon. A Next.js dashboard, Salesforce/Agentforce integration, and self-serve billing are shipped and running against real customer data.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll work on

• The interception pipeline itself: policy evaluation, kill switches, blast-radius rate limiting, approval workflows — the parts that have to be correct, not just fast

• Extending real-time governance to more integration surfaces beyond MCP and Salesforce

• Real infrastructure work: Postgres schema and partitioning at scale, Redis-backed rate limiting, deployment and observability across Railway and Vercel

• Direct ownership — the architecture decisions you make become the company's architecture, not a proposal that goes through review

What we're looking for

• Experience in production TypeScript/Node.js

• Comfortable owning a system end to end — API design, database schema, deployment, the incident when something breaks at 2am

• A distributed-systems or security background is a strong signal, not a requirement

• You care about correctness in systems that make real decisions with real consequences — this is a product where "probably right" isn't good enough

Current stack: TypeScript, Node 22, Fastify, Next.js, Postgres (Drizzle), Redis, pnpm workspaces, Railway, Vercel.
