Executive Recruiter — Deep Tech Scale-up, Central London
£130,000–£175,000 base + placement bonus
A rapidly-scaling, venture-backed deep-tech business is hiring its first dedicated Executive Recruiter — a genuinely rare opportunity to build an executive search function from scratch, in direct partnership with the founder.
The business
Founded within the last two years, the company has already closed a nine-figure funding round backed by a mix of leading venture and strategic industrial investors, at a valuation north of $1bn. Headcount has grown past 300 people this year alone, with further senior hires planned before year end. It's a business past the point of proving its technology works, and now building the leadership team to scale it.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
Graduate Consultant — 2026 Scheme
Why you're a good match
StrongYour economics background and your summer at a regional bank line up with what PwC looks for on the consulting scheme. Applications close in four weeks.
See breakdownIt searches the market for you
Every day your agent scans the market matching roles against what actually matters to you, not just keywords on a CV.
Why you're a good match
You’ve got the grades and the economics background, and your bank internship is exactly the experience this scheme looks for. Apply soon — deadlines close within the month.
Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
The role
This is not a pipeline-management job. You'll own full-cycle executive search, mapping, direct approach, assessment and close, across a portfolio of senior business and operational hires (think CFO, COO and equivalent), working in direct, high-trust partnership with a hands-on, fast-moving founder.
The plan is to build a small team of two to three underneath you as volume is proven, with the shape of the function largely yours to define.
What we're looking for
- Genuine agency or search-trained background, someone who hunts and sells, not someone used to managing inbound applicants.
- A track record of full-cycle executive/senior hiring, ideally within an early-to-growth-stage VC-backed deep tech, hardware business.
- Comfort operating under real pressure with a demanding, closely-involved founder, this is a role with direct access, not one insulated from that relationship.
- Resilience selling a strong opportunity from a low public profile, the calibre of the business isn't yet matched by name recognition, so this is as much a hunting and sales challenge as a search one.
