About SpecForm OS
SpecForm OS is building an AI-powered technical fashion development platform for independent designers, brands, and product teams. The platform transforms garment references into structured, editable technical outputs, including technical drawings, 3D renders, measurements, bills of materials, construction callouts, and factory-facing production documents. We are preparing for our next Beta phase and are looking for a founding engineer to strengthen the product’s technical architecture, reliability, and development velocity.
The role
As Founding Full-Stack AI Engineer, you will work directly with the founder to develop and scale the core SpecForm OS platform. You will contribute across the full product lifecycle, including system architecture, AI model integration, frontend and backend development, infrastructure, asynchronous processing, output quality, and production reliability. This is a high-ownership role for someone who wants to help turn an early-stage AI product into a dependable platform used in real fashion-development and factory workflows.
Responsibilities
- Own and improve the full-stack SpecForm OS application.
- Develop reliable AI workflows for technical drawings, 3D renders, specifications, BOMs, POMs, and construction outputs.
- Build robust asynchronous job-processing and queue infrastructure.
- Improve generation reliability, fallbacks, error handling, and observability.
- Develop editable and versioned workflows that support garment revisions throughout the sampling cycle.
- Improve PDF, SVG, and technical-document export functionality.
- Instrument model usage, credit consumption, generation cost, and output quality.
- Develop systems for structured user corrections and product-feedback loops.
- Support account management, billing, security, and future integrations.
- Work directly with Beta users to identify technical issues and rapidly ship improvements.
- Contribute to product architecture and future technical hiring decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
