GTM Engineer

Sunderland (office-based) | £40,000 + commission on revenue generated + share options | Reporting to the CEO

About Us

OneClickComply is changing how businesses think about cybersecurity compliance. We've built a platform that automates the hard parts — technical control implementation, policy generation, continuous monitoring, and real-time audit evidence — so that achieving ISO 27001, SOC 2, Cyber Essentials, and CIS v8 takes weeks instead of months.

We're a multimillion-pound startup, backed and growing fast, based in Sunderland. Small team, no hierarchy, no red tape. We've built something that wins when people see it. The bottleneck is getting it in front of enough of the right people — which is exactly what this role fixes.

The Opportunity

This isn't a marketing role and it isn't an SDR role. It's the engineering layer underneath both.

We're looking for someone who treats go-to-market as a system to be built rather than a set of activities to be performed. Someone who can identify an ICP, source and enrich the data, build the sequences, wire up the tooling, personalise at scale, and measure what actually converts — then rip out what doesn't and rebuild it.

You'll own outbound and inbound as one connected machine. On the outbound side: list building, enrichment, signal-based targeting, multi-channel sequencing, and the automation that makes one person look like a team of ten. On the inbound side: landing pages, lead capture, routing, scoring, nurture, and making sure nothing that lands on our site ever goes cold.

You'll have a direct line to the CEO, no committee to get past, and a real budget for tooling. If you've been stuck in a business where every campaign needed three approvals and the CRM was somebody else's problem, this is the opposite of that.

Bring the system. We'll give you the keys.

What You'll Be Doing

Building the outbound engine

  • Define and refine ICPs, then build target lists that actually match them
  • Source, enrich, and validate data using tools like Clay, Apollo, and similar
  • Build signal-based targeting — hiring activity, funding rounds, tech stack changes, compliance triggers, and contract renewals
  • Design and run multi-channel sequences across email, LinkedIn, and phone
  • Manage domain warming, deliverability, inbox health, and sender reputation
  • Personalise at scale using AI and automation without sounding like a robot

Owning inbound

  • Build and optimise landing pages, lead magnets, and conversion paths
  • Set up lead capture, routing, scoring, and handover into sales
  • Design nurture sequences that keep warm leads warm
  • Improve conversion across the funnel — traffic to lead, lead to meeting, meeting to opportunity

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Wiring the stack

  • Own the GTM tech stack end to end — CRM, enrichment, sequencing, automation, and analytics
  • Build integrations and workflows between tools so data flows without manual handling
  • Use APIs, webhooks, and automation platforms to eliminate repetitive work
  • Keep the CRM clean, accurate, and genuinely useful

Measuring and iterating

  • Instrument everything — you can't improve what you don't track
  • Run structured experiments on messaging, targeting, channel, and timing
  • Report on pipeline contribution, not vanity metrics
  • Kill what isn't working quickly and double down on what is

Working across the business

  • Partner with the COO and sales team on pipeline targets and handover quality
  • Feed market intelligence and objection patterns back into product and positioning
  • Support content and campaign work where it drives pipeline

What We're Looking For

Above all else: evidence you've built this before. We want to see campaigns you've designed, systems you've wired up, and numbers that moved as a result.

Essential

  • Demonstrable experience building outbound campaigns that generated real pipeline — not just sending volume
  • Hands-on with modern GTM tooling — Clay, Apollo, Instantly, Smartlead, HubSpot, or equivalents
  • Genuinely technical — comfortable with APIs, webhooks, automation platforms, and basic scripting
  • Strong copywriting instincts — you know why one subject line works and another doesn't
  • Data fluency — you build lists, clean data, and measure outcomes without needing an analyst
  • Understanding of email deliverability — domains, warming, authentication, and why campaigns land in spam
  • Self-directed — this is a build-it-from-scratch role, not a run-the-playbook one
  • Local to Sunderland or within comfortable commutable distance

Desirable

  • B2B SaaS experience, especially with mid-market or enterprise sales cycles
  • Any exposure to cybersecurity, compliance, or GRC
  • Paid acquisition experience across LinkedIn, Google, or similar
  • Comfort with AI tooling for research, personalisation, and content generation
  • SQL, Python, or similar for working with data directly

We care far more about what you've built than where you built it. If your best work is a side project or a system you built for yourself, that counts.
