Build the kind of GP service you would want for your own family.
We are looking for an exceptional GP to join us as our Founding GP & Clinical Director, helping us build and lead a growing team of GPs delivering a different kind of private primary care.
This is not simply another private GP position. It is an opportunity to help shape a doctor-led service, develop your own long-term patient relationships, build and lead a team of like-minded GPs and have genuine influence over the future of the service.
What we're building:
We believe there is something incredibly valuable about the traditional family doctor: A GP who actually knows you. A doctor who has time to listen. Who understands your medical history. Who gets to know you and, where appropriate, your family. And who remains part of your healthcare over many years rather than simply dealing with an isolated problem.
We want to bring those old-fashioned family-doctor values together with the access, diagnostics, technology and treatment choices available through modern private healthcare.
We want our patients to be able to:
- See a GP in person without unnecessary delay.
- Have enough time to properly discuss their concerns.
- Build an ongoing relationship with a doctor who knows them.
- Better understand their own health, rather than only seeking help when something goes wrong.
- Access appropriate diagnostics and investigations quickly.
- Understand the different options available to them.
- Access appropriate treatments and services that may not be readily available through the NHS.
- Make informed decisions about their health together with a doctor they trust.
This isn't about replacing the NHS. It's about giving patients greater access, continuity, understanding and choice alongside it.
The Opportunity:
As our Founding GP & Clinical Director, you will initially practise as a private GP while helping us establish the clinical culture and reputation of the service.
But the opportunity goes considerably further than building your own patient list. We want you to build and lead a team of excellent GPs who believe in the same model of medicine. You will help identify and recruit doctors you would personally trust to look after your own patients and family.
You'll help establish the clinical standards and culture of the GP service, mentor and support other doctors and ensure that, as we grow, we don't lose the personal approach that makes the service different.
Most importantly, you'll have genuine influence over what we build.
An established clinic network around you:
You won't be starting with an empty room and a business plan. We are an established CQC-registered clinic, with the operational and governance infrastructure required to deliver regulated healthcare services.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Experience fit
Your summer at the bank plus your econometrics coursework map directly to the day-one responsibilities on this scheme — client modelling, market briefings, and deal support.
Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
We also have a dedicated Compliance Manager within the team who manages our CQC compliance framework and supports the clinical team with governance, policies, processes and regulatory requirements.
That means you will have experienced support around you rather than being expected to establish and manage the clinic's regulatory infrastructure yourself. Your expertise can remain focused where it matters most: Patients. Medicine. Doctors. Clinical leadership.
What you'll help shape:
- The Patient Experience: Help define what exceptional private primary care should actually feel like - personal, accessible and unhurried.
- Clinical Standards: Create a culture where excellent medicine and doing the right thing for the patient always come first.
- The GP Team: Identify, attract and develop doctors who share our philosophy and want to practise medicine in this way.
- Continuity of Care: Develop a model where patients genuinely build long-term relationships with their GP. We want patients to feel that they have their doctor, rather than simply an appointment with whichever doctor happens to be available.
- Preventative Health: Help patients understand their health, their individual risks and the practical things they can do to remain well.
- Patient Education: Give people the time and information they need to understand what's happening in their bodies and make informed choices about their healthcare.
- Diagnostics: Work within our established network of diagnostic, specialist and treatment pathways, giving patients straightforward access to further investigation and care when needed. Our existing pathways are already in place, so you will not be expected to build these from scratch. However, we want our Clinical Director to bring their own experience and ideas, helping us identify new specialists, services, diagnostics and treatment options that could improve the choices and care available to our patients.
- New Services: Help us identify areas of healthcare where we can genuinely improve the experience and options available to our patients.
We want the clinicians closest to patients to have a meaningful voice in deciding how the service develops.
Who we're looking for:
We're looking for an experienced, patient-centred GP with excellent clinical judgement and the credibility to lead other doctors. But clinical ability alone won't be enough.
“If I could design general practice myself, I’d do some things differently.”
You may currently be a GP Partner, Clinical Lead, experienced NHS GP or already working partly within private medicine. You may even have considered establishing your own private practice but been put off by everything that comes with building and operating a regulated healthcare business yourself.

We're particularly interested in someone who:
- Believes strongly in continuity and relationship-based medicine.
- Enjoys spending proper time with patients.
- Is passionate about helping patients understand their own health.
- Is interested in prevention as well as treatment.
- Believes patients should understand the choices available to them.
- Has the credibility and personality to attract other excellent GPs.
- Enjoys mentoring and developing clinicians.
- Wants genuine influence over how a healthcare service operates.
- Has high clinical and ethical standards.
- Is excited by the prospect of building something.
What you won't have to build alone:
Our role is to provide the infrastructure and support around you. The clinic is already CQC registered, with compliance support and an established operational team.
You won't be expected to become the clinic administrator, compliance manager or business operations team.
We want you doing the things only an exceptional GP can do:
- Looking after patients.
- Building trusted relationships.
- Finding and developing great doctors.
- Leading clinical excellence.
- Helping us build a service that both patients and doctors genuinely want to be part of.
Where this could lead?
We see this as a founding leadership appointment rather than a conventional GP vacancy. Initially, you will be a practising GP and the clinical leader of the service.
As the GP team and patient population grow, there is scope for the position to develop into a broader Medical Director role, with responsibility for a larger clinical organisation and potentially additional locations and services.
We want someone who finds that journey exciting.
Interested:
You don't need to have decided that you want to leave your current role. You don't need to arrive with a team of doctors ready to follow you. And you don't need previous experience running a private healthcare business.
What matters is that you're an excellent GP who believes patients benefit from having time with a doctor who knows them, understands them and gives them genuine choices about their healthcare.
If you've ever thought there should be a way to combine the relationship of the traditional family doctor with the possibilities of modern private medicine, we'd like to talk to you.
Come and help us build the kind of GP service you would want looking after your own family.
