About Speek
Speek Health is on a mission to end the wait for life-changing mental healthcare for young people and their families, by blending AI and clinical science to rethink how mental healthcare is delivered to families.
We are a group of high impact mission driven clinicians, technologists and seasoned entrepreneurs, who have first hand experience, both professional and personal, of caring for a loved one struggling with their mental health. Together, we're building the most effective digital treatment to break the cycle of teenage self-harm.
Success to us means no family should suffer alone. We're a well-funded, early-stage startup backed by UK’s top impact investors like Daring Capital, Octopus Ventures First Cheque Fund, Zinc, Family Offices and angels.
We dream big and iterate fast. If that sounds like home, we'd love to hear from you. Come work with our founding team, it will be a fun ride 🙂
The role
We're hiring our first dedicated growth marketer to build Speek's direct-to-family acquisition engine from the ground up. You'll report to the Founder and own D2C growth end to end, from the first ad a parent sees to the moment their family starts treatment.
Most parents who discover their child is self-harming face long waits, confusing pathways, and a lot of fear. Many don't know that effective, evidence-based help exists outside a waiting list. Reaching them is our biggest challenge. We've launched early Meta campaigns and built basic lead generation flows. Now we need someone to turn that into a repeatable, measurable, scalable engine.
This is a founding role, and it's hands-on. You'll set the strategy, run the campaigns, make the creatives, and own the numbers. There's no team or agency to hand things to yet, though you'll help shape who we hire next as the engine grows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
What you'll do
- Own acquisition end to end. Set the growth strategy, choose the channels, manage the budget, and be accountable for leads, conversion to treatment, and cost per family acquired.
- Run paid media yourself. Build, launch, and optimise campaigns on Meta first, then test TikTok, Google, and whatever else earns a place. You're comfortable in the ad platforms daily, not reading reports from someone else.
- Produce assets yourself with AI tools, Figma, CapCut, and similar, and brief creators when that's the better route.
- Run a disciplined experiment loop. Form a hypothesis, set up a clean test, say in advance what would prove you wrong, read the result honestly, and iterate. Build the system around it: testing cadence, angle library, naming conventions, and a bank of real parent and young-person language.
- Own the full funnel. Landing pages, lead capture, nurture sequences, and the handover to our clinical intake team. Find where families drop off and fix it.
- Build the measurement foundations. Tracking, attribution, and a simple dashboard that tells us weekly what's working, what it costs, and where the next pound should go.
- Make growth safe as well as effective. Work within safe-messaging guidelines for self-harm and suicide, platform health advertising policies, and the ASA/CAP code, with sign-off from our clinical team. You treat these as design constraints to be creative within, not blockers.
- Shape the growth team. As the engine proves out, help decide what to hire, build, or outsource next.
About you
- 5+ years in consumer growth or performance marketing, with a track record of owning results (not just contributing to them), ideally at an early-stage company.
- You've managed paid budgets yourself and can talk fluently about CAC, conversion rates, payback, and attribution.
- You're genuinely strong on creatives. You've written performance copy with results you can point to, you have taste, and you make assets yourself rather than only briefing them.
- Your background is consumer-facing, ideally in health, wellbeing, parenting, or other high-trust purchases. If your experience is mainly B2B SaaS, this probably isn't the role.
- You're comfortable being the only person doing this, with ambiguity, a lean budget, and a very driven team.
- You understand that when the audience is vulnerable, "what converts" and "what's right" both matter, and you can hold both.
- You want to work on youth mental health for a reason you can say out loud.
