Important

This is not a salaried role at this stage. It is initially commission-based, remote and flexible, with scope to develop into a deeper long-term partnership if we work well together.

About Event Translate

Event Translate is an AI platform built specifically for live events. We currently provide real-time multilingual captions and audio translation, alongside features such as language auto detection, AI live summaries, post-event summaries and multi-microphone support.

We already have paying customers across corporate events, tourism, film production, churches and NGOs, with enquiries coming from 7+ countries and multiple industries, including events, AV production, university, and tour guide.

The product is working. We're disrupting the market as my product is currently 100x cheaper than the established competitors, yet it's getting improved day-by-day. The bigger question now is how we turn that early traction into a scalable business.

We are also gradually expanding beyond translation into a broader event audience engagement platform, with workflows around live summaries, Q&A and other ways attendees interact with event content.

The Role

I’m a solo technical founder and I’m looking for someone who wants to work closely with me on the commercial side of the company... from customer acquisition and partnerships to pricing, positioning and our wider business strategy. If you're not interested in anything above, PLEASE DON'T APPLY.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

This is not a role where you receive a finished sales playbook and execute it. We still need to work out some important questions together:

  • Which customer segments should we focus on?
  • How should we package and price the product for larger customers?
  • Should growth come through direct sales, event organisers, AV/production partners, venues or other channels?
  • How should Event Translate position and brand itself as an event platform, rather than simply another translation tool?
  • What does a repeatable GTM strategy actually look like?

You would help test those questions in the real world — talking to customers, following up leads, running demos, developing partnerships and helping close business.

What You’ll Actually Do

  • Work directly with me on GTM, pricing and business strategy
  • Follow up inbound enquiries and develop new customer relationships
  • Run product demos and help close deals
  • Test outbound sales and partnership channels
  • Develop relationships with event organisers, AV/production companies, venues and other potential partners
  • Turn customer feedback into positioning and product decisions
  • Help improve our website, messaging and SEO where useful
  • Challenge my assumptions when you think we’re going in the wrong direction

Who I’m Looking For

You don’t need to tick every box.

  • Experience in B2B sales, GTM, partnerships or early-stage SaaS would be useful.
  • Experience or strong interest in events, AV/production, UI/UX, SEO, branding or web design, would also be valuable. (If you got a Claude/ChatGPT Max subscription and interested to leverage more of it, we definitely should talk!)
  • More importantly, I’m looking for someone who can think independently, talk comfortably with customers/public, and is willing to test ideas rather than just discuss them.

Compensation

This is not a salaried position at this stage.

The initial arrangement will be commission-based, tied to business you help generate, and can be done remotely and flexibly.

If we work well together and the company continues to grow, we can discuss what a deeper long-term partnership could look like.
