Founding Head of Brand
We are hiring a Founding Head of Brand to own how Pairs presents itself to founders and investors: its positioning, voice and visual identity, and the writing and video behind them.
Pairs is a global network of family offices, institutional investors, VCs and angels. We screen deal flow very tightly, and the opportunities that clear our diligence go out to the network. We invest alongside them too.
The role
This is our first full-time brand hire. You set the brand strategy and you run it: what Pairs says, where it says it, how it looks, and the impression a founder or investor forms before they ever speak to us.
Most weeks, that means one or two high-value posts in the founders' voices and one or two from the company. You also run story shoots with the founders and investors we work with, from booking the guest to the final cut, and you edit the video yourself.
We already hold a library of recorded founder and investor interviews. A large part of this role is turning that material into content people want to watch, and finding creative new ways to use it: films, series, clips and formats we have not tried yet.
You also own our editorial output: a weekly newsletter that also lives on our site, a monthly newsletter, and a quarterly report we want to become a reference point for the market.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits
No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.
Everything is aimed at one outcome: how founders and investors perceive Pairs. Every post, film and report should reinforce a brand they trust before the first conversation.
You report to the two co-founders, shape the strategy with them directly, and have real creative freedom. You will make the work yourself from day one, and build a team around you as the brand grows.
What you will own
- Brand identity: Positioning, voice and visual identity, held consistent across our site, our social channels and the press.
- Editorial and social: Weekly founder and company posts on LinkedIn and X, both newsletters and the quarterly report. You write them and you publish them.
- Our video library: Repurposing recorded founder and investor interviews into films, series and clips, and finding creative new ways to use the material.
- Story shoots: New founder and investor shoots, from booking and preparation through the shoot to the final edit, which you cut yourself.
- Brand perception: How founders and investors perceive Pairs, and how that perception improves over time.
You are a fit if you
- Have built and run a brand end to end that we can review: a named brand where you set the voice, created the content, ran the channels, and can quote the results before and after.
- Still create the work yourself. You write, edit video and direct shoots, and you can state precisely what you made and what you briefed out.
- See more in existing footage than others do: new formats, series and cuts that give recorded material a second life.
- Write to a high standard in a restrained register, with published work longer than a social caption.
- Have managed people who make the work, whether a small team or freelancers, and are ready to build a team here over time.
- Use AI tools daily, with clear judgement about where they improve your work and where they would compromise its quality.
- Familiarity with the founder and venture capital world is a strong advantage, but not a requirement.
