Founding Head of Care / Responsible Individual

Children's Residential Care

Location: Flexible
Salary: Competitive + 10% Equity Stake

We are partnered with an exciting new children's residential care provider seeking an exceptional Head of Care / Responsible Individual to establish and lead the organisation alongside its founders.

This is a genuinely rare opportunity to shape a service from day one, with the autonomy to influence its strategy, culture and operational model while building a lasting legacy in children's residential care.

The organisation is backed by an established property development and investment business with extensive experience working alongside local authorities, housing associations and care providers to deliver accommodation for some of the country's most vulnerable people. To continue making a meaningful difference, they are committed to creating a service where children receive the highest standard of care, supported by strong governance, exceptional leadership and long-term investment.

With significant private funding behind the business, the focus is on building services the right way - with the resources, staffing and infrastructure needed to deliver outstanding outcomes rather than compromising on quality.

This appointment will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of the organisation, with genuine strategic influence and a 10% equity stake reflecting the significance of the position.

Key Highlights:

  • 10% equity opportunity.
  • Founding leadership role with genuine autonomy and strategic influence.
  • Significant investment and long-term financial backing.
  • Opportunity to design the culture, systems and operating model from the outset.
  • Lead the registration and opening of the organisation's first children's homes.
  • Work directly alongside the founders to shape future growth and service development.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
