Help build one of the most important startups of the next decade.

We're living through a social connection crisis.

Despite being more digitally connected than ever, millions of people have fewer close relationships, spend less time socialising, and struggle to find people to share life with. The consequences affect happiness, mental health, physical health, workplaces, communities, and healthcare systems. We believe social connection will become one of the defining health and societal challenges of the next decade.

We're building the platform to solve it.

About Steeev

Steeev helps people build stronger social lives through shared interests and real-world experiences. We make it easy to discover people nearby, attend activities, host events, meet one-to-one, and gradually build lasting social connections. We aren't another social network. We don't want people spending more time scrolling. We want people spending more time together. Our mission is simple: Every person should have someone to do something with, and something to look forward to.

We launched our public beta this year and are now running more than 30 community activation events across London while preparing for national expansion. Alongside consumer growth, we're building the evidence base with academic researchers and healthcare professionals, creating opportunities across employers, and through social prescribing - insurers, healthcare providers, and public sector organisations. Our aim is to become the de facto social connection platform globally, working with healthcare partners, health insurers, and interested groups.

Today we're starting with men in London. Tomorrow this becomes a national platform. Then for women in parallel. Then an international one.

The Opportunity

This isn't a Head of Marketing role in the traditional sense. This is an opportunity to shape our success. We're looking for someone who wants to build the entire growth function from scratch and help shape one of the UK's most ambitious startups. You'll have enormous freedom. You'll influence product, positioning, partnerships, brand, acquisition, activation, retention, and community. You'll help decide what we build, how we launch it, and how we scale it. If your idea is brilliant, we'll test it. If it works, we'll double down. We care far more about finding unconventional growth than following somebody else's playbook.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Where We Are

Steeev is already live in public beta. We're currently:

  • Running community activation events across London.
  • Growing our consumer community.
  • Raising investment.
  • Building partnerships.
  • Working with academic researchers to measure real-world impact.

The next 18 months are about proving repeatable growth before scaling nationally.

About You

You're probably someone who has built growth before. Maybe you've led marketing at an early-stage startup. Maybe you've scaled a consumer product. Maybe you've built communities, marketplaces, or subscription businesses. Maybe you're simply exceptional and haven't yet had the opportunity to own something this meaningful. You enjoy working with limited resources. You like solving difficult problems. You know AI can multiply the output of a small team. You're commercial. You're creative. You're highly analytical. Most importantly, you're excited by building something that genuinely improves people's lives.

If you don't feel that you tick all the boxes, yet you believe that you're the right person, please apply. We have no fully rounded vision of who this person is, as everybody will bring something unique to the table. If your uniqueness is exactly what we need, then that's more important than ticking boxes.

What You'll Own

You'll lead every aspect of marketing and growth, including:

  • Brand strategy and positioning - we are working with an agency, and you would be very involved.
  • Customer acquisition.
  • Lifecycle marketing and retention.
  • Community growth.
  • Partnerships.
  • PR and storytelling.
  • Product marketing.
  • Growth experimentation.
  • Marketing analytics.
  • Go-to-market strategy across consumer, strategic partnerships, and organisational markets.

You'll work closely with our CEO, who has over twenty years of sales and marketing experience, so you'll have a partner who understands growth, strategy, and execution.

The Reality

This role is equity only. Nobody at Steeev is currently taking a salary. We're raising investment and expect that to change, but today we're looking for someone who believes enough in the mission to help build it from the ground up. We're realistic about people's lives. This isn't about working eighty-hour weeks, eight brilliant hours is better than 80 mediocre. It's about building something exceptional together using modern tools, AI, and smart execution rather than large budgets.

Why Join?

You'll help tackle one of society's fastest-growing challenges. You'll build the marketing function from day one. You'll influence company strategy, not simply execute it. You'll work directly with the founders. You'll receive meaningful equity. Most importantly, you'll have the opportunity to help create a company that changes how millions of people build social connections. If that sounds more exciting than joining another well-funded SaaS business to optimise Google Ads, we'd love to hear from you.
