The IT Admin Role

Are you the person people go to when tech breaks - and secretly enjoy fixing it? We're hiring our first-ever IT Admin to own IT as a function at Go Swag - a team of 30 growing to 60 this year alone. There's nothing formal in place today, so you'll be building the processes, standards and structure from the ground up. We're looking for the person that we can trust to own it, figure it out, and get it right.

Essential Skills

  • Solid experience with Mac OS in a business setting
  • Confident managing GSuite (admin console, permissions, user management)
  • Comfortable troubleshooting everyday IT issues independently
  • Experience with IAM and configuring role-based access
  • Experience with ISO compliance, Cyber Essentials, or other IT-related audit processes
  • Good understanding of on/offboarding processes and access management
  • Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently, especially in an environment with no fixed process yet

Desirable Skills

  • Experience liaising with vendors/suppliers on IT contracts or support
  • Familiarity with asset management tools/software
  • Experience setting up IT processes from scratch (not just following existing ones)
  • Comfortable working autonomously in a startup/scaleup team
  • Interest in automating repetitive IT admin tasks (scripts, tools, workflows)
  • Basic understanding of backup/disaster recovery principles
  • Experience managing MSP transitions or vendor offboarding

Growth Mindset Over Checklists: We’re looking for impact, not just a perfect cv. If you’re excited about this role but don't check every single box, we still want to hear from you. We see these requirements as a guide; what matters most is your potential to contribute, your passion for our mission, and your ability to solve complex problems.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What you'll be doing

  • You'll own IT as a function end to end: setting up secure access and device management, handling on/offboarding, keeping our SaaS spend and assets under control, and running GSuite and our Mac OS environment smoothly.
  • You'll take full ownership of IT security and compliance, including managing certification renewals like Cyber Essentials, and you'll be the first port of call when something breaks - from a laptop issue to a microphone that won't cooperate.
  • You'll also manage our IT vendors, including transitioning away from our current outsourced provider, and keep basic backups and disaster recovery sensible and covered.
  • There's no existing playbook here - you'll be the one writing it.

Application process

  • Initial call with the Talent Lead: an informal call to discuss the role and your relevant skillset
  • Interview with the Chief of Staff: you’ll have a chance to discuss your experience in more detail
  • Interview with the Chief Product Officer: some live scenarios to showcase your problem solving skills followed by Q&A from our side and yours
