Founding Managing Director — Ayomi UK
Ayomi · London (hybrid) · Full-time · Founding equity
🏦 ABOUT AYOMI
Ayomi is France's #1 financing agent for startups and SMEs: an AI-augmented investment bank that helps companies raise from their own network and from investors we source for them. 3,000+ companies financed €320M+ raised
A data and AI machine that detects companies to finance, builds their case, finds the investors and books the meetings The machine runs and scales in France. We tested the UK remotely over the past months and the numbers surprised us: better conversion rates and twice the revenue per client compared with France. Today 25+ UK companies a day ask us for financing — and nobody in London is picking them up. We are opening Ayomi UK as a subsidiary. We are looking for the person who will run it.
🎯 THE ROLE
You take the lead of Ayomi UK as its first Managing Director and founding shareholder. You are not starting from scratch. You are deploying a product that already works, at speed, on a market that is already asking for it. The product exists and performs: platform, data, AI agents, investor campaigns, legal and financial back-office. The acquisition engine exists and performs: 25+ UK financing requests a day, generated and qualified by our systems in Paris. The operations team exists and performs: campaign ops, legal, finance, product and data are delivered from Paris, as a service to you, with service levels you help define. What doesn't exist yet is the UK commercial engine. That's your job: cover B2B sales and B2C sales in the UK, and build the team that does it with you. B2B — the companies. Founders and SME owners raising £100k to £2M. 25+ of them a day land in the pipeline. You convert them into signed mandates, fast. B2C — the investors. The founders' networks and the UK investors we source. You build the investor-relations team that turns them into cheques. The target is written down: 20 mandates a month by month 6. Everything in the role is organised around reaching it. You report to the founders. Business decisions are yours.
🛠️ WHAT YOU OWN
UK revenue. Mandates signed, capital raised, revenue per client. The P&L of the subsidiary. The UK sales engine. Closers on the B2B side, investor-relations managers on the B2C side. You hire them early, you set the standards, you keep the Paris culture of measuring everything. The UK playbook. Adapt our French method (pricing, pitch, investor sequences, closing rituals) to UK founders and UK investors — without reinventing what already works. Compliance with partners. Our activity touches UK financial-promotion rules (FSMA s.21). You work with our legal counsel and an FCA-authorised partner so every campaign is compliant. You don't need to be a compliance expert; you need to take it seriously. The feedback loop to Paris. What the UK market needs from the product, the data and the operations — and what it doesn't.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

🧱 YOUR FIRST 6 MONTHS
The inbound flow is there from day one. The ramp is about building the capacity to convert it. Month 1. Learn the method in Paris, run it in London. Take over the live UK pipeline and close your first mandates yourself. Open the recruitment of your first two closers immediately — you can't do 20 a month alone and we don't expect you to. Month 2–3. First closers on board, trained on the method. Regulatory set-up finalised with our partners. First UK raises completed end-to-end. Run-rate: 10 mandates a month. Month 4–6. Team of 5 to 6 (closers + investor relations). A weekly rhythm that holds: founder meetings → mandates → capital raised, measured every day. Run-rate: 20 mandates a month. Then we decide together how fast we go next. Milestones and numbers are written down before you start. So are the conditions under which we'd stop. You know exactly what success looks like and what it earns you.
🤖 WHO WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Two profiles can win this role. Be honest with us about which one you are. The seller who has operated. You've personally sold to founders or business owners, with your own numbers to show, and you've then built the team around you. You'll close the first mandates yourself and hire as you go. The operator who has built sales teams. You've run a P&L and built a sales organisation from the first hires — you know how to recruit closers, ramp them, and hold a weekly number. You'll hire fast and sell alongside your team. In both cases: You've opened a market from zero, or built a business unit inside a growing company, and lived with the consequences. You know the UK startup and SME financing scene — founders, angels, EIS/SEIS, the people who make introductions. You want equity, not a title. You're joining as a founding shareholder of the UK entity, with a fair salary and a meaningful stake. English native-level is required. French is a plus, not a requirement — Paris speaks English.

⭐ WHAT WILL MAKE THE DIFFERENCE
You've already launched a French or European company in the UK. You've raised money yourself and know what founders go through. You've worked in a regulated or semi-regulated environment and didn't find it boring. You've taken a sales team from 0 to 10.
🚫 NOT FOR YOU IF
You want to build the product. The product is built — your job is the market. You want to run a JV on your own terms. This is an Ayomi subsidiary, with Ayomi's method and Ayomi's tools. You get real autonomy on how to win the UK, not on what Ayomi is. Ayomi UK would be one of several things you do. It's full-time or it's not this. 20 mandates a month sounds unreasonable to you. It's the brief.
💼 WHAT WE OFFER
Founding equity in Ayomi UK, vesting over 4 years, with a conversion path into Ayomi group shares. A fixed salary plus a variable tied to UK margin. A market with proven inbound demand — 25+ requests a day — and twice the revenue per client of France. A full operations, product, data and legal team behind you in Paris. Direct access to the founders. No layers.
📋 HIRING PROCESS
30-minute call with a founder. Working session (1h): you review our UK test data and the live inbound flow, and tell us how you get to 20 mandates a month. Paid trial mission, 4 to 6 weeks: run 5 to 10 UK founder meetings with us, build the launch and hiring plan. We see how you sell and how you'd build; you see how we work. Equity and terms discussion. Reference calls. Based in London. Regular time in Paris during the first months. Apply with a short note: the most impressive thing you've sold or built, and why the UK.
