Company Description
Rig is a London-based pre-seed startup building AI-native data infrastructure to give non-technical teams a governed foundation for AI projects. Founded by exited entrepreneurs from Lingumi and Palantir, Rig provides the "brain" that allows AI agents and LLMs to safely access and understand complex internal business data.
Job Description
As the first marketing hire at Rig, you will own the brand, messaging, and go-to-market strategy from zero. You’ll translate complex horizontal data infrastructure into compelling narratives that position Rig as the essential "company brain." This hands-on role combines creative storytelling with technical understanding to make Rig unmissable in the AI era.

Why this role is remarkable
- Join as the seventh team member and a founding hire, receiving meaningful equity and the chance to shape the company's identity from its earliest pre-seed stages.
- Work alongside elite founders, including a former Palantir lead and a founder who successfully exited to Novakid, in a high-intensity, low-ego Shoreditch office.
- Build the GTM engine for a product already serving high-growth customers like Cleo and Birdie, solving the critical data bottleneck for the next generation of AI-first businesses.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You Will Do
- Develop and execute an unconventional marketing strategy that blends brand stunts, technical content, and community building to establish Rig as the leader in AI data infrastructure.
- Translate deep technical concepts—like context layers and data modeling—into messaging that resonates with both business leaders and technical teams building on Claude and Cursor.
- Lead the full spectrum of GTM activities, from managing product launches and social presence to experimenting with both sales-led and product-led growth motions.
The ideal candidate
- Has proven B2B marketing experience at a developer tools or AI SaaS startup, demonstrating the ability to craft distinct voices in a crowded market.
- Is deeply integrated into the AI ecosystem, using tools like Claude or Cursor personally and possessing the technical depth to market to engineers and data teams.
- Thrives in the ambiguity of early-stage startups, bringing a hands-on "marketing engineer" mindset and the creative energy to build a world-class brand from scratch.
