We're unlocking access to the NHS, because healthcare is not truly free until it's truly accessible 💙

The world’s best healthcare, for free. It's not a new idea, it's called the NHS. But the largest healthcare provider is fundamentally broken. Patient satisfaction is at an all-time low, and the biggest reason cited is lack of access. So we’re on a mission to fix it with technology that actually works.

We're building the front door of UK healthcare, creating a future where one billion NHS appointments are transparent and instantly bookable, and patients are guided to the right service first time using AI.

We're developing critical national infrastructure. Today, 26% of GP practices in England use our patient registration software, while one in five GP practices in London use Bookable Search to help new patients find and book appointments seamlessly.

Our latest product, Bookable Navigator, extends this vision by automatically booking appointments for existing patients.

We operate from within a working GP practice in East London 🏥 We're backed by Y Combinator, Innovate UK and the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Programme, and were previously ranked the 8th fastest-growing startup in the UK and 33rd fastest-growing in Europe 🚀

Our Principles

Exciting challenges lie ahead. Guided by our principles, we’ll meet these challenges with a thoughtful and caring approach. These principles drive everything we do at Healthtech-1:

  • Care deeply
  • Work hard
  • Be your word
  • Trust in radical truth and transparency
  • Do your life's best work
  • Find the fun

Read more about our principles and our "why" in the Healthtech-1 Handbook.

Why this role matters

Finding and booking a GP is still one of the most frustrating experiences in UK healthcare. Bookable.health fixes that. Patients search, find a practice or pharmacy near them, register and book in minutes. Our first product is already used by 26% of GP practices in England, and Bookable is how we connect those practices directly with patients.

Paid search drives most of our patient traffic today. We run a seven-figure-a-year paid search account, and small gains compound fast: a 10% lift in conversion is worth hundreds of thousands of pounds a year to us. We're hiring a founding performance marketer to take paid search into an excellent patient acquisition engine, and then build out our next paid channels. This is a founding role, not a "BAU" or "maintenance" role.

What you'll own

  • Our entire Google Ads account, end to end: Search, Performance Max, Demand Gen and AI Max campaigns across multiple geographies
  • Bidding strategy and budget allocation, with a sharp eye on cost per click, cost per conversion and search impression share
  • A real experimentation programme covering bidding, audiences, ads, assets and landing pages, not just nudging CPA targets
  • Keyword and search term strategy: expansion, negatives, match types, and finding high-intent queries others miss
  • Ad and asset testing, working with our growth marketer on copy and creative
  • The full journey from impression to booked appointment. You'll work directly with our engineers and product team on landing pages, search results and the booking flow so that paid traffic actually converts
  • Privacy-safe measurement: conversion tracking and attribution that meets health-data standards and ad platform healthcare policies
  • New paid channels: Microsoft Ads, remarketing, and emerging AI search and assistant platforms

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What we're looking for

  • 5–7 years of hands-on PPC experience, ideally in-house at a product company rather than agency-side
  • You've personally run accounts with £500k+ in spend and high click and conversion volume, and you can talk in detail about what you changed and what happened as a result
  • You're fluent in bidding strategy, account structure and automated campaign types, and you know when not to trust them
  • You think in full user journeys (impression, evaluation, intent, conversion, remarketing), not just traffic
  • You've launched products or channels, cut budgets, or driven metrics under pressure. Startup or scale-up experience matters more to us than a long tenure at an established brand
  • You're a constant learner. Search is changing fast with AI, and you have opinions on where it's going because you've tested things yourself
  • You're comfortable working directly with engineers, marketers and founders, and you can make your case with data
  • Experience in health or another regulated category (such as finance) is a strong advantage

Channels and tools

Core: Google Ads (Search, PMax, Demand Gen, AI Max)

Next: Microsoft Ads, remarketing, AI platforms

Analytics: PostHog and platform reporting, with SQL a plus

What success looks like

  • Paid search is fully in-house, and every pound has a clear owner and a clear rationale
  • Cost per conversion and wasted spend are measurably down, and impression share is up in our priority areas
  • A regular testing cadence is producing learnings that feed back into product and marketing
  • You've built the case for our next paid channel, and launched its first campaigns
  • Engineering and product treat you as the voice of paid traffic when they shape the booking journey

What's on offer

  • Salary: £50–70k (DOE) + founding-level equity
  • Location: London (Stratford), onsite 4 days. We're based inside a GP practice, so you can walk downstairs and see the real-world impact of your work.

A bit about us

💙 We’re all NHS staff. We’re inside-outsiders. Trusted with one of the biggest datasets in the world.

🏥 Our office is within a GP practice. This is our unfair advantage. Got a question? Pop down the corridor. Want to learn how your work affects real patients? Pop downstairs to reception.

💪🏼 4 days in the office and 1 day WFH (for most roles). We highly prioritise in-person communication and prefer candidates who want to work 4+ days a week in the office. Our anchor days are Mon, Tues, Thurs and Fri. Homemade breakfast and lunch are on the house every day when you're in the office, ensuring you're fuelled for success!

🤝 We’re highly collaborative. One of the benefits of a high trust team is we often work autonomously, but as a team we’re very collaborative by nature. Two heads are often better than one, and we frequently lean on each other to solve problems together.

🤜🏽 We’re backed by industry leaders. We’re on the DigitalHealth.London Accelerator, backed by the NHS Clinical Entrepreneur Program, winners of the London Business School Healthtech Challenge, Innovate UK, and Y Combinator (S23).

An opportunity for real upside
