About Cycle of Now
Cycle of Now is an early-stage women's health and wellbeing company on a mission to transform how women experience nutrition, hormonal health, and everyday wellbeing.
We believe women's health deserves a more personalised, holistic approach. By combining behavioural science, personalised nutrition, technology, and community, we're building an ecosystem that helps women better understand their bodies and make more informed decisions throughout every stage of life.
Our first product, the Cycle Companion, is an AI-powered digital platform designed to provide personalised guidance, education, and habit-building tools tailored to each woman's needs.
Alongside our digital experience, we're developing a food offering and physical community spaces that bring our mission to life through nutrition, expert-led experiences, and meaningful human connection.
We're entering an exciting build phase. Over the coming months, we'll launch our MVP, pilot our food and retail concept in London, grow our founding community, establish strategic partnerships, and validate an integrated model combining digital, food, and community.
Joining Cycle of Now means joining at the very beginning. You'll work directly with the Founder and play an important role in turning the vision into a product that real women genuinely want to use.
About the Role
We're looking for a Founding Product Engineer to help build the Cycle Companion from the ground up.
This is a hands-on role for someone who enjoys working across product, design, and engineering and is excited by the opportunity to shape both what we build and how we build it.
You'll work closely with the Founder and Design Team to turn ideas, user needs, and designs into simple, intuitive, and technically robust digital experiences. You'll be involved across the full product lifecycle, from exploring problems and defining solutions, through to building, launching, learning, and iterating.
You'll have meaningful ownership from day one. We're not looking for someone who simply wants to take tickets from a roadmap. We're looking for someone who is curious about the product itself, asks good questions, understands users, and can make sensible decisions about what to build and how to build it.
You are not expected to arrive knowing exactly how to build the entire technology platform independently. What's most important is that you have a strong engineering foundation, are comfortable learning quickly, and enjoy figuring things out in an early-stage environment.
As Cycle of Now grows, this role has the potential to evolve into a broader technical and product leadership position, helping shape the technology team, architecture, and product development function.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You'll Do
- Build and ship the Cycle Companion:
Turn product ideas, designs, and user needs into working features across web and/or mobile, helping us move quickly from concept to something real. - Work across the product stack:
Contribute across frontend and backend development, APIs, databases, third-party services, and the infrastructure needed to support the product. - Work with AI and emerging technology:
Help integrate AI and LLM capabilities into the Cycle Companion, exploring where these technologies can genuinely improve the user experience rather than adding complexity for its own sake. - Own features end-to-end:
Take responsibility for individual features from understanding the problem and shaping the solution through to development, testing, deployment, and iteration. - Help shape the product:
Work closely with the Founder and Design Team to explore ideas, challenge assumptions, improve user journeys, and make thoughtful decisions about what we should build next. - Learn from real users:
Participate in user research, usability testing, and feedback loops, using what we learn to continuously improve the product. - Build simple technical foundations:
Help establish the architecture, tooling, and engineering practices that allow the product to develop quickly without creating unnecessary complexity. - Keep the product reliable:
Test, deploy, monitor, and improve the product, taking ownership of quality and performance as the platform develops. - Help us build systems that scale:
Make pragmatic technical decisions that work for an early-stage product today while creating a foundation we can build on as Cycle of Now grows.
What we are looking for
We're looking for someone who is technically capable, highly curious, and comfortable operating with a lot of autonomy.
Someone who enjoys creating rather than maintaining, is pragmatic rather than precious about technology, and can move between a product conversation and a codebase comfortably.
You should bring:
- Strong engineering fundamentals and experience building real products.
- A practical, hands-on approach and a willingness to get stuck in.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work through ambiguity.
- A genuine interest in users and the problems we're trying to solve.
- The ability to take ownership and make decisions independently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work closely with non-technical teammates.
- Curiosity and a willingness to learn new technologies quickly.
- Good judgement around when to move quickly, when to investigate further, and when to keep things simple.
- An entrepreneurial mindset and excitement about building from an early stage.

Experience
We'd ideally expect you to have experience building and shipping digital products, either professionally, through previous startups, or through substantial independent projects.
Experience in the following would also be useful:
- Full-stack development or working comfortably across frontend and backend.
- Modern web and/or mobile application development.
- APIs, databases, and third-party integrations.
- AI, LLMs, or AI-powered product development.
- Consumer products or products with high user interaction.
- HealthTech, FemTech, wellness, or personalised products.
- Startup or early-stage environments where you've had meaningful ownership.
Why you'll love this role
- Be one of the first people helping build a new women's health company from the ground up.
- Work directly with the Founder and have a real influence on what we build.
- Have meaningful ownership over the product and features you work on.
- See your work reach real users quickly.
- Work across product, design, and engineering rather than in a narrow technical role.
- Learn and grow alongside the company as the technology function develops.
- Help build a product that could support a new category in women's health.
