The Role
The mission is clear: replace the knowledge worker in accounting with a growing fleet of AI agents. This isn't a theoretical play. This AI-native platform is already in production, automating bookkeeping and compliance for accounting firms across the UK. Backed by leading VCs and prominent angel investors, the company was founded by experienced engineering leaders with deep expertise in AI and regulated industries.
As a Founding Product Engineer, you'll own core product end-to-end. This means architecting, building, and shipping features directly to production multiple times a day. You'll work without a staging environment, making high-leverage decisions and pushing the boundaries of an expanding agent fleet. This isn't a role for those who prefer ticket queues or hand-offs; it's for engineers who want direct customer interaction, immediate impact, and full ownership.

The Work
- Own the full product lifecycle: from architecture and design through to deployment and monitoring.
- Work directly with accounting firms to deeply understand their problems and translate them into AI-driven solutions.
- Make critical architectural decisions for a production platform built on TypeScript, AWS, and Terraform.
- Expand the capabilities of a growing fleet of AI agents, pushing the boundaries of what's possible in automated accounting.
- Ship code straight to production multiple times a day, seeing your work impact customers immediately.
What You Bring
- Proven experience in an early-stage environment, or having built and shipped a substantial product independently.
- Full-stack proficiency in TypeScript on AWS, including making infrastructure decisions with Terraform.
- A demonstrable track record of exceptional achievement, whether academic, competitive, or through personal projects.
- A desire to engage directly with customers, understanding their challenges to inform product development.
- Comfortable shipping code directly to production multiple times a day, maintaining a high technical bar without a safety net.
- Based in London and able to work onsite 5 days a week.
