Senior Platform Engineer (Full Stack AI Systems) at HelmGuard
About HelmGuard
We're building agent-native risk infrastructure—risk management and trust-building, delivered by AI agents, for a world increasingly reliant on them. As agent-driven decisions and transactions grow, the need for efficient risk management and trust mechanisms becomes critical. Currently, these functions are fragmented across internal teams, point products, and external consultants, requiring frequent reinvention with every need.
HelmGuard consolidates these functions onto one unified platform, continuously assessing and reassessing risks as conditions evolve rather than through static checkpoints.
Annual spend on risk management and trust is in the hundreds of billions, and this is shifting rapidly toward agent-native solutions over the next five years. HelmGuard will capture a significant portion of this market.
In just months post-launch, we’ve achieved a seven-figure revenue stream powered by multi-year enterprise agreements across financial services, regulated tech, and healthcare. Our founders lead with backgrounds from Palantir, Oxford, Stanford, and ETH Zurich, and we’ve been backed by UK and US institutional investors, as well as prestigious angel investors from Meta, Isomorphic Labs, Palantir, and SpaceX.
We’re hiring critical founding team roles for driven individuals who seek meaningful impact, influence in shaping direction and culture, and high-stakes equity upside before Series A.
Your Impact
For customers, most of their HelmGuard experience will be your work. You’ll turn ideas into bold product innovations in record time, spanning the full stack—unlike traditional constraints where code delays reigns supreme.
At HelmGuard, we believe AI diminishes the cost of writing software, proving the real bottleneck was judgment over precision.
Here’s what you’ll deliver:
- Ship end-to-end, customer-facing systems: UI, backend, and AI-powered features, all in record time.
- Own without limits: Decide what is worth building as much as the execution itself.
- Move without compromise: Use Claude Code as a force multiplier—your projects will ship while competitors hesitate.
The Role
You don’t expect polished specs—you own outcomes, not tracking tasks. Understanding both our platform and customer needs, you’ll:
- Determine whether a project is valuable before you begin.
- Design, build, and deploy from end-to-end: a compelling user experience, a scalable API, and an embedded AI agent feature.
- Some weeks, you focus on glamorous onboarding flows; others, on mission-critical data models. By the end, you’ll want people to seamlessly integrate HelmGuard agents into their workflows.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

What You’ll Excel At
- Strategic Precision: Think lightweight, avoid overproduction.
- Speed, Yet Correctness: Use Claude Code’s productivity boost to ship automagically—without cutting corners on scalability or security.
- Culture-first Coding: The codebase should reflect your contributions, not imagined limits of others.
What You Get Done
✅ Ship full-stack systems as though they matter from Day 1. ✅ Guarantee “oh-wow, they did it?” moments for customers. ✅ Build first, iterates second: The slick onboarding, the brutal analytics engine, and the perfect agent hook—all by your hand.
What You Will Do
- Unify Customer Experience: Own the end-to-end product journey—frontend, backend, and embedded agent decisions.
- Define Value, Then Build It: From **"is this worth building?" to ”release prod code”—as little spec work, as much “meh, that cool feature needed work” (for them) as possible.
- Integrate with Circles of Trust, from FDEs to practitioners: listen, prototype, then ship.
- Relentless Attention to Detail: Design matters—** damit somebody wounds up ±unhappily opt-in’d or use-the-world’s-slowestaries API**.
- Code enriches itself: Post-mortem rigor before polish; ship something spread-free of sketchwork misses.
What You Bring
Must-Haves
- 6+ years of shipping complex software (best if TypeScript/bulletproof RxJS, adjacent competence welcome with eagerness to adapt).
- Adjacency to vision: A portfolio of bets you placed on “this thing is unnecessary” turned into systems relied on by daily users.
- Sharp Product Instinct: Your radar alone separates ”sounds cool” (“lol no,” “$2/saved total”) from “solves daily exposes”.
- Full-Stack Stretch: Top-Tier Trio Frontend (💻 React UI people love), Backend (🔒 high-occ-memory API(s)), Working with Data (📙 dataschema, efficiency).
- AI-first developer: You already knead Claude Code into your devmind—you’re prob narrating your mugshot to it right now and know where its elbows rub.

- Early-stageadeness: Together with Culture.
