Sales Development Representative (SDR)

Redwood Works | Remote | Commission Only Initially

About Redwood

Redwood Works helps businesses make sure they never miss an opportunity.

Our AI Receptionist answers calls 24/7, handles customer enquiries, checks availability and books appointments directly into a business’s calendar.

We’re at the beginning of building Redwood and are looking for our first SDR to work directly with the founder and help grow our client base.

The Role

Your job is simple: start conversations with businesses and book qualified demos.

You’ll be reaching out to business owners and decision-makers, primarily through cold calling, introducing Redwood and identifying businesses that could benefit from an AI receptionist.

You don’t need to close the deal. Once you’ve booked a qualified demo, the founder takes over the sales process.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Cold calling UK businesses
  • Speaking directly with owners and decision-makers
  • Introducing Redwood’s AI Receptionist
  • Understanding how prospects currently handle incoming calls
  • Identifying genuine opportunities
  • Handling initial objections
  • Booking qualified demos into the founder’s calendar
  • Keeping track of prospects and conversations

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

Who We’re Looking For

We’re looking for someone who is:

  • Confident on the phone
  • Comfortable with cold calling
  • Competitive and motivated by earning
  • Resilient and able to handle rejection
  • Naturally conversational rather than overly scripted
  • Organised and able to work independently
  • Interested in sales, AI and technology

Previous outbound sales experience is preferred, but ability, attitude and work ethic matter more to us than a perfect CV.

Earnings & Progression

This position will start on a commission-only basis with uncapped earning potential.

However, we don’t intend for the right person to remain commission-only indefinitely.

Once you’ve demonstrated that you can consistently generate qualified opportunities and perform within the role, there will be the opportunity to move onto a salaried position with commission on top.

As Redwood grows, we also intend to introduce additional benefits and opportunities for the people who grow with the business.

We’re looking for someone who wants the chance to prove themselves early and build a longer-term position within Redwood, rather than simply pick up a short-term commission role.

Why Redwood?

You’ll be joining at the very beginning.

As our first SDR, you’ll work directly with the founder and have genuine input into our messaging, outbound strategy and sales process.

We’re building the sales function from the ground up, which means there’s significant room for progression as the business grows.

For the right person, this could mean progressing from Founding SDR to a salaried SDR position and eventually taking on greater responsibility within Redwood’s sales operation as we expand.

Interested?

Send us a message with a little about yourself, your previous sales experience and why you’re interested in joining Redwood.

If you’re confident on the phone, willing to back your ability and want the opportunity to grow with an early-stage business, we’d like to hear from you.
