Who we are

Grayn is an AI coworker that lives inside Slack. It takes on the busywork for marketing teams so they can focus on the parts of their job they actually enjoy. We are a London-based company building for teams everywhere. We believe AI's role is not to replace people, but to give them their time back so they can enjoy their lives more. That is the whole point of what we are building.

We are small and bootstrapped, building this the hard way, without a large VC war chest, just a team that genuinely cares about creating something useful. We are a young company, and we are looking for people who want to help shape our culture, not simply fill a seat.

The gig

We are looking for someone confident on the phone to help us engage marketing teams at larger companies, both mid-market and enterprise, about Grayn. You will call, qualify, and pitch. Full script and training are provided, so prior software sales experience is not required. When a prospect is ready to close, you will hand off to a closer, with the option to stay on the call and help see it through.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

If you have worked in retail, hospitality, or any other environment that sharpened your people skills and taught you to perform well under pressure, that is exactly the background we are looking for. You already know how to turn a "no" into "let me hear you out." We simply need you to bring that same energy to the phone.

What you'll actually do

  • Make outbound calls to mid-market and enterprise marketing teams
  • Qualify genuine prospects
  • Hand off qualified leads to a closer, with the option to stay involved through to close
  • Log all activity accurately in the CRM (full guidance provided)
  • Meet weekly call targets

What we're looking for

  • Comfortable and confident on the phone; cold-calling experience is valuable, though strong retail, hospitality, or service-based phone skills are equally welcome
  • Fluent, confident English communicator (no other languages required)
  • Resilient, with the ability to take a "no" and move to the next call with the same energy
  • Self-motivated, given the independence that comes with a remote, part-time role
  • Based in the UK and eligible to work here

Nice to have

  • Prior SDR experience
  • Comfort navigating gatekeepers to reach key decision-makers

Growth

As we grow, we plan to open up EMI/share options to early team members. This is not a dead-end role. Team members who perform well have a genuine path to a full-time sales position as we scale.

Why this beats another shift

You will work directly with the founders rather than being lost within a large call centre. You will be part of building something from the ground up, helping shape the culture and growth of the company alongside people who are genuinely invested in it.

This is an independent contractor engagement, not an employee position. Full terms will be set out in a separate contractor agreement prior to commencement.
