Founding Business Development Representative (BDR / SDR)
London (Oxford Circus) | Hybrid | £45,000 Base + £85,000 OTE + Equity
How often do you get the chance to join a company before everyone knows its name? Profectus Recruitment are partnering with an exceptionally well-funded AI technology start-up that is about to scale its commercial operation in the UK. This isn't just another SaaS business. It's a chance to become one of the first commercial hires in a company led by entrepreneurs with an outstanding track record of building, scaling and selling technology businesses worth hundreds of millions.
Backed by significant investment, a world-class leadership team and a genuinely disruptive AI platform, they're now looking for their first generation of sales talent to help build the business from the ground up.
If you've got 1-2 years of technology sales experience (ideally within SaaS and / or AI Tech) and you're ambitious enough to want more than just another SDR role, this could be career-defining. You'll work directly alongside experienced founders and senior leaders, gaining exposure that would normally take years to earn elsewhere. Your ideas will be heard, your success will be recognised and, with equity on offer, you'll have the opportunity to share in the company's future success.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
