Dex is an AI recruiter agent
Dex is an AI recruiter agent that helps you run your job search. Tell Dex your stack, seniority, and what you want to build. We will manage your applications and surface other opportunities that are a fit.
The role
This team is building a truly proactive AI assistant. Not a chatbot, but an agent that maintains a living model of a user's entire work history — emails, messages, documents — to anticipate needs and act on their behalf. They are in private alpha with early customers, backed by leading investors, and founded by a small group of repeat founders with deep technical backgrounds.
As a Founding Senior Engineer, you won't own a slice of the stack. You'll manage the whole thing: desktop application, backend, and algorithmic development, working directly with AI researchers. This is a chance to define your scope, not inherit it, building a complex system from first principles in a small, high-calibre team. It's for engineers who want to build, not just integrate.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
Start with a chat, not a search bar
Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
