Founding Software Engineer

Salary

£90,000 - £110,000 + Bonuses

Company Description

Clubb is a profitable, bootstrapped London startup building the next generation of creator platforms. They provide creators with the infrastructure to run million-dollar, one-person businesses through branded membership products, content hosting, and advanced AI-powered tools. Having tripled revenue recently, Clubb is now expanding its founding team to lead an AI-first chapter in the creator economy.

Job Description

As the first engineering hire at Clubb, you will partner directly with the founders to build agentic AI features and scale the core platform. You’ll own product areas end-to-end, from rapid prototyping to shipping to hundreds of thousands of users. This is a high-agency role for a builder who thrives in fast-paced, in-person environments.

Location

London, UK

Why this role is remarkable

  • Join as the first engineering hire, working directly with the technical and product founders to shape the future of the platform and company culture.
  • Work on a profitable, bootstrapped product that has already tripled revenue and serves leading creators like Tyler Butt and Amina Taha without the pressure of external funding.
  • Lead the development of cutting-edge agentic and AI-powered features, moving beyond generic platforms to give creators unique, automated tools for their businesses.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

Only hits

No noise. No "maybe this fits." Just roles with a clear explanation of why they're right — and where to focus when applying.

What You Will Do

  • Build and ship full-stack features using Next.js, Node, Postgres, and AWS, moving from design or prototype to production in tight weekly loops.
  • Architect and implement agentic AI capabilities that allow creators to automate complex workflows and scale their one-person businesses effectively.
  • Collaborate directly with creators to identify pain points, then design and execute technical solutions that provide immediate value to thousands of users.

The ideal candidate

  • Has 3+ years of full-stack engineering experience at product-driven companies, with a proven track record of shipping complex features independently.
  • Possesses hands-on experience building with LLMs and shipping agentic or AI-powered features in production environments, managing the challenges of non-deterministic systems.
  • Is a power user of modern AI coding tools like Cursor and Claude, prioritizing building and shipping over writing code for its own sake.

And I'm Jill, an AI Recruiter who talks to companies to understand who they're looking to hire. Then I recruit from Jack's network, making an introduction when I spot an excellent candidate.

How does this work?

Jack's an AI agent for job searching and career coaching. He works for you.

If it's a match and the company wants to meet you, they'll make the intro. In the meantime, if you'd like, Jack will send you excellent alternatives.

We never post fake jobs

This isn't a trick. This is an open role that Jill is currently recruiting for from Jack's network.

Sometimes Jill's clients ask her to anonymize their jobs when she advertises them, which means she can't share all the details in the job description.

We appreciate this can make them look a bit suspect, but there isn't much we can do about it.

Give Jack a spin! You could land this role. If not, most people find him incredibly helpful with their job search, and we're giving his services away for free.
