ImpactSOS | Self-employed | Commission-based | Flexible, field-based
Build a purpose-led retail network across Surrey
ImpactSOS creates greeting cards that represent and financially support community groups, charities, makers, and social-impact organisations. We already work with a growing network of independent retailers in London. We’re now looking for an outgoing, entrepreneurial person to establish and develop ImpactSOS across Surrey.
Your territory could include towns such as Guildford, Woking, Epsom, Leatherhead, Dorking, Reigate, Redhill, Caterham, Godalming, Farnham, Haslemere and Horley.
You’ll introduce ImpactSOS to independent retailers, secure new stockists, maintain their card displays and earn ongoing commission from every card they order.
What you’ll do
You’ll be responsible for building and managing the ImpactSOS retail network across Surrey.
Your work will include:
- Visiting independent cafés, gift shops, bookshops, galleries, Post Offices, garden centres, convenience stores and other suitable retailers
- Introducing owners and managers to ImpactSOS
- Securing new retail stockists
- Installing card displays and helping retailers choose suitable ranges
- Visiting existing stockists to check displays and arrange restocks
- Building strong, long-term relationships with retailers
- Identifying inspiring Surrey community groups that could be represented on ImpactSOS cards
- Keeping accurate records of conversations, opportunities and orders
- Sharing what you learn as we develop the ImpactSOS model nationally
This isn’t a conventional desk-based sales job. It’s an opportunity for someone who enjoys meeting people, opening doors and building their own local territory.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

How you’ll earn
You’ll receive 50p commission for every card sold to a retailer in your territory.
Our existing retailers currently order an average of approximately 100 cards every six weeks. At that level, each active retailer would generate approximately:
- £50 commission every six weeks
- £36 commission per month
- £433 commission per year
Based on that current average:
- 25 active retailers could generate approximately £10,800 a year
- 50 active retailers could generate approximately £21,700 a year
- 100 active retailers could generate approximately £43,300 a year
- 150 active retailers could generate approximately £65,000 a year
- 200 active retailers could generate approximately £86,700 a year
Commission continues for as long as qualifying retailers in your territory continue ordering cards.
These figures are illustrations based on current average retailer orders, rather than guaranteed earnings. Your income will depend on the number of active retailers you develop and the volume of cards they order.
