Founding Trustee — Time Honoured
Location: Edinburgh, with online participation
Role: Voluntary
About Time Honoured
Time Honoured is a proposed Scottish charity creating supported pathways for people experiencing mental health challenges to take meaningful next steps, contribute to their communities, develop personally and experience positive recognition. Our initial programme in North Edinburgh will combine flexible volunteering, personal development and relationship-based support from Community Co-ordinators. Participants will receive Impact Credits recognising their participation, which they can use to access positive experiences offered by local partners. We are recruiting our founding Board of Trustees to help turn this vision into a well-governed, sustainable organisation.
The Role
As a founding trustee, you will help shape Time Honoured from the outset. Working alongside fellow trustees and the founder, you will:
- Shape the charity’s strategy, priorities and development.
- Support its establishment, governance and financial oversight.
- Help ensure safeguarding, participant wellbeing and inclusion are central to its work.
- Contribute to funding plans, partnerships and long-term sustainability.
- Review progress and help us understand the difference the programme makes.
- Ensure the views of people with lived experience inform decisions.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
