Job Purpose

We are seeking a Foundry Engineering Lead to serve as the technical authority for Nscale’s Foundry implementation—leading the design, development, and governance of the data platform that supports internal operations, workflows, and customer-facing capabilities.

This is a senior, high-impact role blending hands-on engineering with technical leadership. Your responsibilities include:

  • Define the technical architecture of Foundry
  • Build and maintain core data infrastructure
  • Collaborate closely with Operations, Infrastructure, Platform Engineering, Product, and Commercial teams to deliver scalable, reliable data products

As the most experienced Foundry engineer on the team, you will:

  • Mentor and guide engineers and analysts
  • Establish standards, best practices, and the technical roadmap as the platform scales

Ideal for someone who combines deep Foundry expertise with leadership confidence, able to architect at scale, dive into technical details, and drive the team forward.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the design and architecture of Nscale’s Foundry implementation, ensuring scalability, security, and long-term data integrity.
  • Define the technical strategy for Foundry, aligning with business objectives and the company’s data roadmap.
  • Act as the technical authority on Foundry—setting standards, guiding architectural decisions, and owning the evolution of the platform.
  • Conduct code reviews and enforce best practices in data modelling, pipeline development, and integration.
  • Mentor engineers and analysts in Foundry, raising technical capability and quality across the team.
  • Design and build scalable, reliable data pipelines ingesting data from infrastructure, platform services, and business systems.
  • Define data models, schemas, and ontology structures to support operational workflows and business use cases.
  • Clean, transform, and structure data to create a digital twin of Nscale.
  • Implement permissioning and manage access/security for the Foundry environment.
  • Develop trusted datasets and metrics for workflows, internal tools, and customer-facing insights.
  • Enable self-service analytics by establishing data contracts, documentation, and semantic layers.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
