This is an exciting opportunity for an FP&A Analyst to join a high-performing finance team in a role that combines financial planning & analysis, business performance reporting, and strategic investment support. You'll gain exposure to senior stakeholders, board-level reporting, and key business decisions while helping to shape the future of reporting and analytics across the organisation.

The organisation is investing heavily in data, reporting, and business performance capabilities to support continued growth. Their finance function plays a key role in driving strategic decision-making, with a strong focus on delivering high-quality insight across the business. This role sits within a collaborative FP&A team working across reporting, investments, and performance analysis.

The Role

As an FP&A Analyst, you will support financial and operational reporting, investment analysis, and performance measurement across multiple business areas.

Responsibilities include:

  • Delivering monthly financial and operational reporting across the business
  • Collecting, validating, cleansing, and consolidating data from multiple sources
  • Building and enhancing Excel-based reporting packs and management information
  • Producing presentations and board-level reporting for senior stakeholders
  • Analysing profitability, revenue, utilisation, cash flow, and business KPIs
  • Supporting investment performance tracking and strategic growth initiatives
  • Partnering with stakeholders to gather business commentary and operational insights
  • Identifying opportunities to improve reporting processes, governance, and data quality
  • Supporting the transition towards a more mature data and reporting environment
  • Acting as a key link between finance teams and data specialists
  • Delivering ad hoc commercial analysis and performance reporting

Your Skills & Experience

To be successful in this FP&A Analyst role, you should have a strong blend of finance, reporting, and analytical expertise.

Essential requirements:

  • Experience in FP&A, Commercial Finance, Finance Analysis, Management Accounting, or a similar analytical finance role
  • Exceptional Excel skills, including:
    • XLOOKUP
    • INDEX MATCH
    • SUMIFS
    • Advanced data manipulation
    • Multi-source data consolidation
    • Reporting pack creation and enhancement
  • Strong experience working with financial and operational KPIs
  • Knowledge of revenue, profitability, cash flow, and commercial performance analysis
  • Experience working with large, complex, or imperfect datasets
  • Power BI experience, including Power Query and data transformation
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Ability to translate data into clear commercial insights and recommendations
  • A proactive mindset with a focus on continuous improvement
  • Availability within a maximum 6-week notice period

Desirable:

  • Experience within professional services, consulting, accountancy, or other KPI-driven environments
  • Exposure to data warehouse environments
  • Knowledge of DAX
  • Experience supporting investment or business performance reporting
