FP&A Analyst

Location: Slough
Salary: £60,000 - £70,000

About the Job

This newly created FP&A Analyst position will report directly to the Finance Director and play an important role in strengthening financial planning, commercial analysis and business partnering.

Working across Finance, Sales, Operations and the leadership team, you will turn financial and operational data into meaningful insight while helping to improve reporting through technology and automation.

Duties will include:

  • Preparing monthly forecasts, annual budgets and longer-term financial plans.
  • Maintaining financial models based on key commercial and operational drivers.
  • Analysing performance against budget, forecast and prior periods, highlighting trends, risks and opportunities.
  • Producing management information, KPI reporting and performance dashboards.
  • Partnering with cost centre owners to improve financial visibility and forecasting.
  • Providing customer, product, sales and margin analysis to support commercial decisions.
  • Supporting pricing decisions, profitability reviews, business cases and investment appraisals.
  • Developing Power BI dashboards and improving the accessibility and quality of management information.
  • Identifying opportunities to automate repetitive finance and reporting activities.
  • Exploring practical applications of AI and technology to improve analysis, forecasting and decision-making.
  • Supporting wider finance transformation and process improvement initiatives.

About the Successful Applicant

You will be commercially curious, analytical and confident working with financial and operational data. Strong Excel skills are essential, with Power BI, ERP and data analytics experience highly desirable. You will have an interest in AI and automation, excellent attention to detail and the confidence to communicate complex information clearly. A proactive attitude, willingness to learn and ability to build relationships across the organisation will be key.
