Reporting to the Manager, FP&A, the FP&A Analyst, Commercial
The FP&A Analyst, Commercial will support and drive objectives of the Commercial FP&A team, ensuring senior leadership teams and business partners receive relevant data-driven analytics to empower short and long-term business planning and strategies.
What We’re Looking For:
- Provide data-driven insights to leadership teams and business partners by sourcing, validating, and analysing internal company data to support business decisions and identify opportunities for growth.
- Partner with senior leadership and business stakeholders to provide actionable analysis, highlight key risks and opportunities, and support strategic decision-making.
- Analyse business performance and present recommendations, providing clear insights into performance against plan and key drivers of variance.
- Work with leadership to identify key actions required to ensure plan assumptions materialise and business objectives are achieved.
- Prepare and report monthly financial and non-financial performance of Index’s business to executive and leadership teams, ensuring a high level of accuracy and delivering clear, concise reporting on schedule.
- Own the Net Revenue forecast for Index’s commercial teams, using data-driven modelling to support financial forecasting and budgeting, and provide variance analysis against targets.
- Support the development and implementation of initiatives to increase revenue, improve operational performance, and drive business value, leveraging Index’s internal systems and reporting tools, including Looker, SQL, Python, Confluence, and Salesforce.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders across the organisation through effective collaboration and a customer-centric approach.
- Collaborate with teams across the globe and with the Commercial Analytics team to develop and share best practices.
- Lead and contribute to cross-functional projects and initiatives as required.

Here's What You Need:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, Accounting with a minimum of 2-3 years of experience performing the responsibilities outlined above, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience;
- Strong oral and written communication skills;
- Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint, experience with Looker, SQL or similar tools and languages highly preferred;
- Ability to conduct research, interpret data and translate data into insights. Ability to present data in a logical and clear manner to business stakeholders.
- Comfort with ambiguity and a self-starter with an aptitude for defining and directing new processes;
- Project management experience and confidence to drive progress and accountability;
- Natural ability to articulate, present and tell a compelling story using data and data-driven insights.
The following skills and experience are considered assets for success in the role:
- Experience working within the digital advertising and/or accounting industry;
- Experience in handling large data sets.
