FP&A Analyst - Fast Growth Tech Scale-Up - London (Hybrid)
We’re partnering with a growing business looking to hire a high-calibre FP&A Analyst into an established finance team. This is a broad, commercially focused role offering exposure across both reporting and commercial responsibilities.
The business is looking for someone with a few years of relevant experience who has built strong foundations in finance, has started or completed professional exams, and is now looking for a role where they can take on greater responsibility and accelerate their development.
Importantly, this is a role where attitude, ambition and professionalism are just as important as technical ability. The successful candidate will be naturally curious, proactive and willing to get to grips with problems rather than waiting to be given the answer.
The Role
The role is effectively split 50/50 between commercial reporting and forward-looking FP&A, giving you exposure across a broad range of finance activities.
You will be responsible for:
- Producing regular commercial and financial performance reporting, providing clear insight into business performance.
- Supporting budgeting, forecasting and financial planning processes.
- Preparing analysis and reporting packs for senior stakeholders, ensuring outputs are accurate, clear and commercially relevant.
- Supporting the business with forward-looking analysis, scenario planning and forecasting.
- Taking financial data and turning it into clear, meaningful information that helps stakeholders make better decisions.
- Working closely with wider finance and commercial teams to understand performance and challenge assumptions where appropriate.
- Maintaining and improving financial models, reporting files and analytical tools.
- Cleansing, manipulating and validating data to ensure the quality and accuracy of financial reporting.
- Investigating discrepancies and anomalies within data and reporting, getting to the root cause rather than simply flagging the issue.
- Providing commentary alongside financial outputs and explaining the key movements and drivers behind performance.
- Supporting ad-hoc commercial analysis and projects as required.
- Helping to improve existing FP&A processes, reporting and ways of working.
- Acting as a source of guidance for the analysts and helping to establish strong working habits, professionalism and attention to detail within the team.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
