FP&A Analyst – IT & Change (12-Month FTC)

Join our UK Retail Finance team as an FP&A Analyst, partnering with IT & Change to support investment planning, forecasting, portfolio reporting, and financial governance. This is an exciting opportunity to influence strategic decision-making and work closely with senior stakeholders across Finance, IT, and Change.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the finance business partner for the IT & Change function.
  • Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning for technology and change investments.
  • Support business case development, investment appraisals, and scenario modelling.
  • Produce portfolio reporting, highlighting financial performance, risks, and opportunities.
  • Monitor project spend against approved business cases and ensure robust financial governance.
  • Track benefits realization and provide commercial insight to support decision-making.
  • Build strong relationships with Finance, IT, and Change stakeholders.
  • Drive continuous improvements in financial reporting, processes, and controls.

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent).
  • Strong FP&A, budgeting, and forecasting experience.
  • Experience partnering with IT, Change, or Transformation teams.
  • Excellent analytical and financial modelling skills.
  • Ability to communicate complex financial information clearly to senior stakeholders.
  • Strong stakeholder management and influencing skills.
  • Experience with investment planning, portfolio reporting, or capital projects is desirable.
  • Knowledge of capital vs. operating expenditure (CapEx/OpEx) is an advantage.
  • Advanced Excel and PowerPoint skills; experience with Oracle or similar ERP systems is beneficial.
  • Experience within financial services or insurance is desirable.
