FP&A Analyst with Boutique Tech Investor

Exclusively managed by Autumnal Partners

Autumnal Partners has been retained on an exclusive basis by a leading venture capital fund to find a newly qualified FP&A Analyst to join their finance team in London.

The role

This is a first-move-into-industry opportunity for a newly qualified accountant to join a finance function that is being built around AI and automation from the ground up, rather than bolting it on to legacy processes. You'll play a central role in budgeting, forecasting and management reporting for the fund and management company, with a genuine mandate to use AI tools to reshape how reporting and analysis get done — working closely with senior finance and investment stakeholders.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support the preparation of budgets, forecasts and management accounts for the fund and management company
  • Build and maintain financial models to support business planning and decision-making, using AI tools to speed up scenario analysis and variance reporting
  • Prepare monthly and quarterly management reporting packs for senior leadership and investors
  • Analyse fund and firm-level performance, cost base and headcount planning
  • Identify recurring, manual reporting processes and lead the redesign of them using AI and automation tools
  • Evaluate and help implement AI-enabled finance tools and workflows as the function scales
  • Support the finance team with ad-hoc analysis, board reporting and investor queries
  • Partner with investment and operations teams to improve data quality and reporting turnaround

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
