Why This Role Exists
pubX is at the forefront of the Agentic movement in the publisher/advertiser tech space. We are scaling rapidly to meet the needs of our growing customer base.
As we scale, we need a finance professional who can turn data into clarity, insight, and action. This role exists to build the analytical backbone that supports decision-making, strengthens forecasting accuracy, and ensures leaders understand the financial impact of every move we make.
You’ll sit at the centre of planning, reporting, and commercial analysis, helping the business grow with confidence, discipline, and pace.
What You'll Work On
Planning & Forecasting
- Build and maintain financial models for revenue, costs, cash flow, and scenario planning.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual budgeting cycles.
- Partner with department leads to understand drivers, risks, and opportunities.
Reporting & Insight
- Analyse performance trends and highlight variances with actionable recommendations.
- Track KPIs and operational metrics that matter to the business.
Commercial & Strategic Support
- Support customer profitability reviews, get behind the numbers to report CAC, conversion rates and other commercial KPI’s
- Provide financial input into strategic planning and board-level discussions.
Process & Systems
- Improve forecasting accuracy through better data, assumptions, and modelling.
- Help build repeatable FP&A processes that scale with the business.
- Work with the wider finance team to tighten controls, improve data quality, and streamline reporting.

What We're Looking For
- Experience in FP&A, management accounting, or commercial finance.
- Strong Excel/Sheets modelling skills; familiarity with BI tools is a plus.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, evolving environment.
- A mindset that blends rigour, curiosity, and enthusiasm.
- Someone who genuinely wants to grow, in capability, responsibility, and impact.
- Ideally, experience in a fast-paced tech or SaaS business.
