FP & A Analyst

We are currently looking for a FP & A Analyst to be based in London on a full-time basis, reporting into the Head of Management, Reporting and Analysis.

Reporting to the Head of Management Reporting & Analysis and working with stakeholders across Munich Re Specialty Group Limited (MRSG) & Global Specialty Insurance 4 (GSI4), this role will play a pivotal part in delivering high-quality management information, performance analysis, and business insight. The successful candidate will help shape how the business understands and measures performance by transforming complex technical financial and operational data into clear insights that support strategic decision-making.

This is an exciting opportunity for a highly motivated, intellectually curious, and ambitious finance professional who is seeking to further their professional development. They will gain exposure to senior leadership, board-level reporting, and expansion initiatives within a market-leading specialty insurance organisation. The role offers scope to influence management reporting development, drive process improvements, and contribute to the ongoing transformation of the CFO function. Working alongside Finance, Actuarial, and Operations teams.

Responsibilities

Management Reporting & Business Insight

  • Support the development of executive and board-level reporting materials, delivering high-quality analysis and commentary that helps inform strategic decision-making.
  • Develop and maintain MI reporting solutions using dashboards and data visualisation tools.
  • Investigate and explain technical business performance movements through meaningful variance analysis and root-cause investigation.
  • Translate complex financial information into clear and digestible insights for different audiences.

Stakeholder Engagement & Business Partnering

  • Build strong and collaborative relationships across Finance, Actuarial, and wider business teams.
  • Act as a trusted partner to stakeholders by providing timely analysis, insight, and challenge.
  • Support discussions with senior stakeholders through data-driven recommendations.

Continuous Improvement & Transformation

  • Identify opportunities to enhance efficiency & data quality, improve reporting automation, and improve stakeholder experience.
  • Support innovation by challenging existing processes and proposing practical solutions.
  • Help embed a culture of continuous improvement across the Finance function.

Knowledge and Skills

Knowledge / Experience

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capability (essential)
  • Experience working with multiple stakeholders (essential)
  • Experience in financial analysis, management reporting, or FP&A (essential)
  • Experience within Specialty Insurance / Reinsurance (desirable)
  • Lloyd’s Market experience (desirable)
  • Exposure to financial transformation or reporting automation (desirable)
  • Experience with Power BI or data visualisation tools (desirable)
