About The Role

This is a broad-based analyst role sitting at the intersection of financial planning, commercial analysis, and business partnering. Reporting into the Head of Commercial Finance, the successful candidate will sit at the heart of the business, building a full P&L view across the group's divisions and understanding the commercial and operational drivers behind the numbers.

The role suits someone analytically strong who enjoys varied work and can operate comfortably across both structured financial processes and more ambiguous commercial situations.

Role Responsibilities

FP&A

  • Run the weekly forecast and month-end close process, coordinate and check BU submissions, produce packs with variance analysis and commentary
  • Support reforecast cycles, coordinating inputs from budget holders and consolidating into management reporting
  • Support cashflow and balance sheet modelling
  • Support with the co-ordination and completion of the monthly board pack
  • Build and maintain financial models to support planning and scenario analysis
  • Contribute to process improvement initiatives within the finance function (e.g. automation/AI)

Commercial Finance & Business Partnering

  • Provide commercial analysis and challenge on contract pricing, renewals, and new business proposals
  • Partner with operational and commercial teams, presenting analysis to build credibility as a trusted finance contact
  • Gain exposure to the review and drafting of commercial contract clauses, working alongside legal and commercial teams
  • Support the maintenance of the centralised CLM database
  • Lead ad hoc analysis on business performance, client profitability, or commercial trends as required

Requirements

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA)
  • Experience in an FP&A, commercial finance, or management accounting environment
  • Strong Excel skills, comfortable building financial models from scratch
  • Confident communicator, able to present analysis clearly to both finance and non-finance stakeholders
  • Continuous improvement mindset, challenges and suggests ways to improve existing processes
  • Comfortable operating in a fast-paced, high-growth environment where priorities shift and pace matters
