Meraki Talent is delighted to be supporting a global PE-backed business in Edinburgh in its search for a Finance Business Partner/Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. This is an exciting opportunity offering a fantastic salary, an excellent benefits package, and a clear development plan. The role would be ideal for an experienced FP&A Analyst or an ambitious Assistant Accountant looking to step into a more commercial position.

The Role
The successful candidate will support the FP&A Manager and wider team in partnering with commercial and operational stakeholders, analysing data, and providing insightful commentary to influence strategic decision-making.

Key Duties
- Sales, revenue, and pricing analysis.
- Business partnering with non-financial stakeholders, providing commentary and strategic insight.
- Challenging stakeholders where appropriate to help drive business performance.
- Supporting month-end processes, including journal entries, balance sheet reconciliations, accruals, and reporting schedules.
- Variance analysis and reporting.
- Developing and maintaining revenue, margin, and profitability models to track business performance and identify trends.
- Supporting forecasting and budget-setting processes.
- Assisting with continuous systems and process improvements.
- Undertaking ad hoc analysis and project work as required.

Candidate Profile
- Part-qualified or QBE FP&A Analyst or Assistant Accountant.
- Previous experience in a similar role, or the ambition to move into a commercial finance position.
- Strong Excel skills.
- Power BI experience would be advantageous.
