Your new role
As part of an evolving Group Finance function, the organisation is seeking a commercially focused Group FP&A Manager/Business Partner to play a pivotal role in supporting executive decision-making, improving financial insight and enhancing strategic planning across a diverse portfolio of businesses.
Reporting to the Head of Group FP&A, you will take ownership of the Group's financial planning and analysis activities, delivering high-quality reporting, forecasting, modelling and performance insight to senior stakeholders.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading the budget, forecast and long-range planning processes across multiple divisions.
- Producing Board and lender reporting.
- Analysing performance against key targets and identifying risks, opportunities and corrective actions.
- Developing and maintaining integrated financial models covering profit and loss, balance sheet and cash flow forecasting, whilst providing robust scenario planning and sensitivity analysis to support strategic decision-making.
- Providing analytical support for acquisition opportunities and strategic projects, including valuation analysis, business cases and post-acquisition performance monitoring.
- Acting as the finance lead for the organisation's planning and reporting systems, driving enhancements to reporting capabilities, automation, dashboard development and data quality.
- Working closely with finance, operations, IT and senior leadership teams to shape the future direction of the FP&A function and establish best-in-class reporting processes across the Group.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a fully qualified ACA, ACCA or CIMA accountant with a proven track record within FP&A, commercial finance or strategic finance positions.
You will have experience of:
- Leading budgeting, forecasting and performance reporting processes.
- Working within a multi-entity, multi-site or complex group environment.
- Delivering meaningful commercial analysis and business partnering with senior stakeholders.
- Advanced financial modelling and scenario planning.
- Developing BI reporting, dashboards and data visualisation tools.
- Managing financial systems or reporting on improvement projects.
- Analysing profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and working capital performance.
- Communicating financial information effectively to Board-level audiences.

Experience within construction, manufacturing, infrastructure, distribution, logistics or similarly operational businesses would be advantageous, although applications from broader sectors are also welcomed.
You will be a naturally curious and commercially minded individual who enjoys turning complex data into actionable business insight and influencing decision-making at a senior level.
