Interim FP&A Consultant

We're currently partnering with a high-growth, private equity-backed business seeking an experienced Interim FP&A Consultant to support the production of board-level reporting, cash flow forecasting and performance analysis during a period of significant growth and transformation.

Reporting directly to the CFO, this role will play a critical part in improving visibility across the business by transforming existing financial and operational data into meaningful board-ready insights. The successful candidate will work closely with finance leadership and external advisors to build robust reporting capabilities while longer-term finance systems and processes continue to evolve.

This is a hands-on assignment requiring an individual who can quickly assess available information, identify reporting gaps and deliver high-quality outputs within tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver board-level reporting packs for senior leadership and investors.
  • Build a comprehensive board deck for an upcoming board meeting, providing clear commentary and actionable insights.
  • Create and maintain EBITDA bridge reporting.
  • Analyse business performance drivers, margins and key operating metrics.
  • Build and enhance a rolling 13-week cash flow forecast.
  • Translate financial and operational information into meaningful management reporting.
  • Assess the quality, completeness and accuracy of existing management information.
  • Identify reporting gaps and work with internal stakeholders and advisors to improve available data.
  • Utilise due diligence data and reporting outputs to create scalable management reporting solutions.
  • Support the development of a longer-term reporting roadmap.
  • Provide recommendations around reporting processes, controls and performance measurement.
  • Present findings and outputs to senior leadership where required.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
