About the role:

The Financial Planning and Analysis team plays a critical role in supporting business growth through robust financial planning, insightful analysis, and strategic business partnering. We give insights beyond just financials; we collaborate across functions and help drive the right decisions. Due to continued growth in the team and Zilch overall we are recruiting a FP&A Manager.

Day to day responsibilities:

Financial Planning & Forecasting

  • Contribute meaningfully towards the budgeting cycles and rolling forecasts
  • Build strong relationships with budget owners to ensure ownership and alignment of responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain forward looking financial models to drive business decisions
  • Drive continuous improvements in forecasting accuracy and planning processes

Business Partnering

  • Analyse financial and operational performance against budget, forecast and prior periods
  • Partner with department leaders to support budgeting, investment decisions and performance management
  • Translate complex financial data into clear commercial recommendations
  • Act as a conduit between Financial Reporting, Strategic Finance, Treasury, Data and Leadership collaborating to analyse and understand performance

Reporting

  • Assist in the preparation of our monthly management accounts ensuring clear understanding of variances to budget and forward looking commentary
  • Prepare commercially focused reporting for our Board, Investors and Leadership Team including contributing to the front half of the annual report
  • Develop and maintain KPI dashboards ensuring data integrity, to be used for both internal and external reporting

What we're looking for...

  • A relevant qualification ACA/ ACCA/ CIMA or equivalent experience.
  • Excellent financial modelling skills including building forward looking models
  • Someone who can forge strong relationships across the business to ensure FP&A goals are met
  • Track record of building enduring FP&A processes
  • Strong communicator who can translate financial jargon into actionable insight
  • Proven ability to analyse information using business intelligence tools
  • A relevant qualification or degree in an accounting/finance or numerically orientated field
  • Strong accounting knowledge and financial reporting experience
  • A dedication to high quality visually appealing work
  • Comfortable with a hands-on collaborative approach to work involving attending the office in a hybrid working environment (office days: Monday; Wednesday; Thursday)
  • A driven individual who is keen to develop with the team and company
  • Team player with a friendly, positive mindset

Bonus skills:

  • SQL experience (we work closely with Data however some ability to self-serve is required)
