FP&A Manager

PE-Backed Environmental Services Business

Location: Remote
Salary: £90,000 – £120,000 + Bonus & Benefits (DOE)

Reporting to: CFO

The Opportunity

Our client is a private equity-backed environmental services business that provides essential resource management and materials recovery solutions to a diverse industrial customer base and is experiencing a period of strong growth. Backed by a leading investor, the business combines a multi-site, asset-backed operating model with clear ambitions for both organic expansion and strategic M&A. This is a newly created, high-impact role offering the opportunity to work closely with the CFO and senior leadership team to shape financial strategy, improve visibility of performance, and support value creation initiatives.

The Role

The FP&A Manager will be responsible for building and leading best-in-class financial planning, analysis, and performance management capabilities across the business.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading the budgeting, forecasting, and long-range planning process
  • Developing robust financial models to support strategic decision-making and investment cases
  • Delivering insightful analysis on operational performance, including key drivers such as volume, pricing, and cost base
  • Partnering closely with operational and commercial teams to improve financial visibility and accountability
  • Supporting the executive team and investors with high-quality reporting and board materials
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes, and data quality
  • Playing a key role in evaluating growth initiatives, including potential M&A opportunities

The Candidate

We are seeking a high-calibre finance leader with a strong track record in FP&A within a private equity-backed business.

Key requirements

  • Proven experience in a senior FP&A leadership role
  • Strong financial modelling and analytical capabilities
  • Experience operating in a complex, data-driven, operational business
  • Ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights
  • Credibility to influence senior stakeholders, including CFO and investors
  • Prior exposure to private equity environments and value creation agendas
  • ACA / ACCA / CIMA (or equivalent) preferred
