What will you be doing?

Lead the Finance Business Partnering Function and to own Babble’s planning, forecasting and management reporting cycle, providing the CFO, executive team, investors and the wider business with the analysis and actionable insight behind commercial performance.

Accountabilities and Deliverables:

  • Own the annual budget and rolling reforecast, covering profit and loss, cash flow and covenant or bank reporting.
  • Produce the monthly management reporting pack and board pack commentary, including variance analysis against budget and prior year.
  • Maintain and develop the group planning model, including revenue, gross margin, cost and headcount forecasting.
  • Business partner with Sales, Operations and Executive leadership on performance, pricing and cost-to-serve.
  • Model and report recurring revenue metrics: monthly and annual recurring revenue, churn, ARPU, net revenue retention and margin by product line.

Strongly desirable

  • Hands-on Workday Adaptive Planning as a model user, building sheets, reports and dashboards.
  • Experience within a private equity-backed or acquisitive group, including post-acquisition integration reporting.
  • Exposure to an alternative planning platform — Anaplan, Pigment, Board or Oracle EPM — as a proxy for Adaptive aptitude.
  • Alteryx, Power BI or an equivalent visualisation tool.

Qualifications

  • Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with three or more years post-qualification in FP&A or commercial finance.
  • Demonstrable ownership of a full budget and reforecast cycle within a multi-entity group.
  • Advanced Excel and financial modelling.
  • Recurring revenue or subscription business experience - telecoms, SaaS, or managed services.
  • Evidence of becoming productive quickly in an unfamiliar environment; this role has a short handover period.
  • A partnering mindset.

You will be contracted to work from the office however, Babble operates a Hybrid Working Policy whereby you will be required to be in the office on company anchor days (Monday, Tuesday and Thursday) and will be able to work from home on Wednesday and Friday. Unless your role has different requirements.
