We make health happen
At Bupa, our purpose is simple: helping people live longer, healthier, happier lives and making a better world.
To continue delivering outstanding healthcare and insurance services, we need a strong understanding of how our business operates and where we can make the greatest impact. Our Finance teams play a vital role in helping leaders make informed decisions that support customers, colleagues and the long-term success of the business.
As our FP&A Manager, you'll be at the centre of that work. Supporting executive and finance leadership teams, you'll provide insight into the cost of running key business functions and help shape the financial decisions that support Bupa's future growth.
This role offers excellent exposure across the business, with responsibility for analysing and reporting on a functional and central cost base of around £300m. You'll lead reporting improvements, drive automation, support strategic planning and develop meaningful financial insight that helps leaders make better decisions. Alongside this, you'll lead and develop a small team, helping create a high-performing and collaborative culture.
How you’ll help us make health happen
As our FP&A Manager, you'll:
- Provide financial insight and analysis across Bupa's functional and central cost base.
- Deliver reporting and analysis on costs, trends, performance measures and total cost of ownership.
- Lead the continuous improvement and automation of management reporting, reducing manual processes and improving self-service reporting capabilities.
- Manage service fee and recharge reporting, ensuring methodologies are applied consistently and clearly communicated.
- Support forecasting, planning and budgeting activities in line with business requirements and timelines.
- Work closely with Finance Business Partners and senior stakeholders across the organisation.
- Collaborate with reporting, controls and finance teams to deliver accurate and timely financial information.
- Support the delivery of annual and three-year planning processes.
- Maintain oversight of service fee and recharge-related risks, controls and process documentation.
- Act as a subject matter expert for Oracle planning and forecasting processes.
- Lead, coach and develop a team of finance professionals, supporting capability building and succession planning.
- Deliver training and guidance to cost centre managers on financial processes, policies and responsibilities.
- Monitor compliance with internal financial and procurement policies and provide clear reporting on outcomes.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
