FP&A Manager / Finance Business Partner
Vertex Associates are proud to be partnering with a high-growth, tech business. They are looking for a FP&A Manager / Finance Business Partner to join their team. This is a hybrid role consisting of 2/3 days in their Shoreditch office.
This will be a day rate of £500 - £550 - OUTSIDE IR35.
Duties and responsibilities
- Own the budgeting, forecasting and long-term financial planning processes
- Develop and maintain integrated financial models covering P&L, cash flow and key business drivers
- Lead monthly forecasting cycles and partner with budget holders to review assumptions, costs and resource requirements
- Analyse actual performance against budget and forecast, identifying key variances, risks and opportunities
- Produce scenario modelling and sensitivity analysis to support strategic and commercial decision-making
- Monitor cash flow performance and maintain visibility of future funding requirements
- Deliver accurate and insightful monthly management reporting, including financial performance, KPIs and operational metrics
- Support month-end reporting and the preparation of board and investor reporting packs
- Translate financial data into clear recommendations and actionable business insights
- Act as a trusted finance business partner to operational and functional leaders across the organisation
- Challenge expenditure, investment proposals and business cases to drive informed decision-making
- Support evaluation of capital projects, strategic initiatives and commercial opportunities
- Analyse contracts, pricing, revenue opportunities and associated financial risks
- Provide ad hoc analysis and decision support to senior leadership
- Drive continuous improvement across FP&A processes, reporting, forecasting and financial controls
- Help build and enhance the financial infrastructure required to support business growth

Skills Desired
- ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified, or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong experience within FP&A, commercial finance or finance business partnering
- Advanced financial modelling and Excel skills
- Proven experience owning or leading budgeting and forecasting processes
- Strong understanding of P&L, balance sheet and cash flow management
- Ability to interpret complex financial data and provide clear commercial insights
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and decision-support skills
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leaders and non-finance stakeholders.
- Proactive, hands-on approach with the ability to work autonomously
