Manager, Group/Corporate FP&A | London
We're working confidentially with a multi-strategy investment management firm - spanning private equity, venture capital, and a listed holding company - managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio across financial services, technology, infrastructure and consumer sectors.
Following a recent Finance transformation, they're looking to bring in a Manager, Group/Corporate FP&A, reporting directly to the Head of FP&A with genuine exposure to the CFO and ExCo.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role sitting at the centre of the Group's financial planning, performance reporting and capital agenda - broader than a typical corporate FP&A manager remit:
- Build and own the Group's consolidated forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning models across all strategies and legal entities, including liquidity forecasting and rolling-forecast governance
- Prepare board-level and investor-facing performance packs, monthly/quarterly management reporting and KPI dashboards — leading with implications and recommendations, not just data
- Own Group and entity-level management-cost and opex analysis, including cost allocation, recharges and headcount-driven cost tracking, partnering directly with Cost Centre leads and Strategy Heads on P&L discussions
- Provide analytical support for dividends, share buybacks, equity issuances, and debt facility modelling (covenants, drawdowns, refinancing)
- Support holding-level valuation work — data collection, KPI calculation, methodology review and reconciliation to accounting records
- Provide analytical support across direct and indirect investments, including portfolio KPIs, runway analysis and performance benchmarking, and support senior management on business development
- Own a specialist stream of compensation and incentive analytics — management incentive schemes, bonus pools, co-investment and long-term incentive plans, plus carried interest modelling as part of the broader comp remit
- Contribute to the function's AI and automation tooling, including maintaining AI-enhanced forecasting, reporting and valuation models
- Provide occasional supportive capacity to Fund FP&A and Fund Accounting

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.

- 5–8 years of relevant finance experience, with a substantial portion in FP&A, financial modelling or investment finance
- Experience in private equity, asset management, investment holding or listed financial services strongly preferred
- Audit/accounting trained with a move into FP&A, or industry-trained FP&A with strong technical grounding — both welcome
- Strong financial modelling grounding across forecasting, cost analysis, valuation or debt; exposure to compensation/incentive modelling or fund economics is a differentiator, not a requirement
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling skills; ACA/ACCA/CIMA/CFA (qualified or finalist) is a plus
On offer:
- Direct day-to-day collaboration with the Head of FP&A and exposure to the CFO, a distinctive scope spanning corporate FP&A, valuation, debt, cost and compensation analytics, a clear path to Senior Manager, and compensation benchmarked to the London alternative asset management market.
