Manager, Group/Corporate FP&A | London
We're working confidentially with a multi-strategy investment management firm — spanning private equity, venture capital, and a listed holding company — managing a multi-billion dollar portfolio across financial services, technology, infrastructure and consumer sectors. Following a recent Finance transformation, they're looking to bring in a Manager, Group/Corporate FP&A, reporting directly to the Head of FP&A with genuine exposure to the CFO.
This is a hands-on, individual-contributor role at the centre of the platform's financial planning and reporting — broader than a typical corporate FP&A manager remit:
- Build and own the Group's consolidated forecasting, budgeting and long-term planning models across all strategies and legal entities
- Prepare board-level and investor-facing performance packs, KPI dashboards and variance analysis — leading with implications and recommendations, not just data
- Own a specialist stream of compensation and incentive analytics, including carried interest modelling across fund vintages, co-investment schemes and management incentive pools
- Support debt facility modelling (covenants, drawdowns, refinancing) and holding-level valuation work
- Provide supportive analytical capacity to Fund FP&A and Fund Accounting during peak periods
- Contribute to the function's AI and automation tooling, including maintaining AI-enhanced forecasting and reporting models

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
