The Role
Responsible for analysis, insight and business performance reporting on customer gross margin and profitability; finance support for new business and renewal tenders; and supporting budgeting and forecasting activities across the entire BAU business. This role partners closely with the Finance Business Partners, Sales and Commercial teams, Regional Operations teams and Executive Team to monitor financial performance, identify opportunities for improvement, and drive commercial and operational performance improvements.
Key Responsibilities
- Continually improve the quality, accuracy and timeliness of financial information to key stakeholders
- Along with Finance Business Partners, challenge forecast/budgets and explain key movements to FD
- Ownership of the production of accurate weekly sales reporting, with assistance from Finance Business Partners and Finance Shared Services teams as required
- Establish monthly customer profitability reporting and generate insight to be share with key stakeholders
- Understand key drivers of weekly sales performance, and provide a full understanding of any material deviations from budget/forecast and the potential future impacts

- Ensure all internal/external weekly, monthly and quarterly financial reports are complete, accurate and submitted to deadline
- Support Finance Business Partners with challenging operational performance to improve financial outcomes
- Support Finance Business Partners with the preparation of forecasts and budgets, reviewing and challenging input and assumptions
- Provide finance support, insight and challenge during new business and renewal tender processes to drive optimal financial outcomes
- Lead projects as required
- Deputise for the Finance Director FP&A as required

Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
- Hold a professional Qualification in ACCA, CIMA or ACA
- Minimum 5+ years post qualified experience
- Strong FP&A or Finance Business Partnering experience
- Excellent analytical skills, ability to manipulate complex data, generating actionable insight
- A track record of providing insightful reporting
- A proven record of driving commercial improvement
- Be commercially astute, with a proven record of driving financial performance with key stakeholders
- Advanced Excel skills
- A proactive approach and a collaborative attitude
- Ability to build business relationships and interact with internal customers, with the ability to solve problems and show resilience
- Ability to work to tight deadline
- Fluent in English, oral & written
