We are looking for an experienced FP&A Manager to lead the financial planning and performance management agenda. Reporting into the Head of FP&A, this is a highly visible leadership role, partnering with the Executive team to provide commercial insight, drive financial performance and support strategic decision-making.
You will own the planning cycle, lead performance reporting, and ensure the business has a clear understanding of financial opportunities, risks and value creation. This role requires someone who combines strong technical finance capability with commercial curiosity and the confidence to influence senior stakeholders.
What you'll be doing

- Lead the annual budget, periodic reforecasts and three-year planning process, coordinating inputs across Finance, Commercial and Operations while providing constructive challenge to assumptions.
- Present financial performance, forecasts and strategic recommendations directly to the Leadership Team.
- Maintain a robust Opportunities & Risks (O&R) framework, tracking delivery against financial commitments and ensuring accountability across the business.
- Act as the primary finance contact for Group Finance, ensuring divisional reporting aligns with Group requirements and external expectations.
- Lead the financial evaluation of capital investment opportunities, including new store openings and strategic projects, reviewing performance against approved business cases and identifying opportunities to improve future investment decisions.
- Own and continuously develop site-level profitability models, creating scalable planning tools that support Finance, Commercial and Operations teams in decision making.
- Drive continuous improvement across planning, forecasting and reporting processes, embedding best practice and increasing the quality of commercial insight.
- Build strong cross-functional relationships to ensure finance is a trusted business partner supporting operational and strategic objectives.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
