Role Overview
A newly created role sitting at the intersection of FP&A, MI, systems and data, focused initially on improving reporting infrastructure, governance and automation across a complex international group. Longer term, you'll help turn that data into meaningful commercial insight while gaining exposure to PE, due diligence and potential exit activity.

The business is a large, international organisation with a strong presence across the UK and overseas markets. It has continued to evolve from its traditional roots into a broader, more integrated professional services model, combining specialist expertise with technology and data-led solutions.
Following a period of significant growth and change, the business now operates across a complex international structure, creating an interesting opportunity for someone to help improve the way finance data, MI and systems support decision-making at Group level.

- Initial Tasks:
- Understanding how the data flows through the business
- Improving controls
- Standardising information across different systems
- Identifying opportunities to automate and simplify reporting

- Long-term Focus:
- Making the MI genuinely useful to the business
- Working with various stakeholders to understand what the numbers are actually telling you
- Challenging the outputs and turning data into insight that can influence decisions
- Taking ownership of Group MI and improving the quality, consistency and usefulness of reporting
- Getting to grips with data across multiple entities, systems and ERPs
- Introducing stronger governance, controls and sense-checking around the numbers
- Identifying opportunities to automate manual processes and simplify reporting
- Working with commercial stakeholders to turn data into meaningful insight
- Supporting the development of the group's data environment and data cube
- Preparing MI and underlying data for potential investor scrutiny and due diligence
- Challenging existing processes rather than simply accepting "the way we've always done it"

Profile
My client are open-minded on background. You could be:
- A Transaction Services / Corporate Finance professional looking to take the analytical and investor lens you've developed in practice and apply it from inside a business.
- An FP&A professional who is frustrated by spending too much time producing MI and wants to improve the systems and processes behind it.
What matters most is that you're commercially minded, analytical and comfortable getting into the detail of data and systems.
My client are ideally looking for someone ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualified but will consider suitable profiles that are qualified by sufficient experience.
Job Offer
- Competitive salary ranging from £65,000 - £70,000
- Hybrid working (2-3 days in office in Manc Cc)
- Annual bonus up to 10%
- 25 days holiday + bank holidays
