FP&A Analyst - Private Markets Fund
Aria Partners is working with a private markets fund that is looking to hire an FP&A Analyst in a newly created role.
A key part of the role will be helping develop the firm’s FP&A capability. There’s scope to build dashboards, improve financial models and connect planning tools with the underlying accounting data, giving teams across the business a clearer and more up-to-date view of performance.
It would suit someone with corporate finance experience in an investment management firm who enjoys understanding the numbers and finding better ways to use and present them.
The Role
- Take responsibility for budgets and forecasts, working with teams across the business to understand their spending and future requirements.
- Analyse operating costs and monthly performance, explaining differences against budget and highlighting where action may be needed.
- Develop financial models to assess different scenarios and support business planning.
- Help build dashboards and reporting tools that make financial information easier to access and use.
- Manage cash forecasting and liquidity across the group, making effective use of surplus cash and planning for future payments, funding needs and foreign currency requirements.
- Work with the accounts payable team on payment planning and approvals, while supporting borrowing arrangements and related financial reporting.
- Contribute to the selection and development of planning tools, improving how budgeting, forecasting and accounting data work together.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
