Lead the development of FPGA technology enabling 5G connectivity directly from space. We are supporting an innovative communications company developing advanced baseband technology for satellite-based networks, helping enable high-performance global connectivity. They are looking for an FPGA Team Lead to take technical and managerial ownership of their growing digital design team.
Combining hands-on engineering with team leadership, you’ll help define the technical roadmap for high-performance Layer 1 IP while ensuring complex FPGA and ASIC projects are delivered successfully. You’ll work closely with algorithm, system architecture, software, and senior leadership teams, translating product requirements into practical hardware solutions.

Beyond technical delivery, you’ll be responsible for developing engineers through mentoring and coaching, improving design methodologies, and shaping the processes used across the hardware function. You’ll also contribute to customer discussions and play an important role in the continued development of the company’s product portfolio.
They are looking for an FPGA Team Lead with the following background:
- Proven experience leading and developing FPGA/digital design teams
- Expert RTL design using Verilog or SystemVerilog
- Strong FPGA and/or ASIC development experience
- Experience with DSP or high-throughput signal processing architectures
- Strong understanding of synthesis, timing analysis, and hardware optimisation
- Experience delivering complex IP across the full development lifecycle
- Strong technical leadership and project delivery skills
