At Allen & Heath, we're looking for an FPGA Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of professional digital audio products. Whether you're an experienced engineer or a talented graduate with relevant project experience, this is an opportunity to work alongside specialists in FPGA, DSP, electronics and software engineering at our Cornwall headquarters.
For over 55 years, Allen & Heath has been designing and manufacturing industry-leading audio technology used everywhere from global concert tours and festivals to theatres, studios, broadcast facilities and commercial installations worldwide. As part of the Audiotonix group, our products are trusted by some of the biggest names in professional audio.
We're looking for an FPGA Design Engineer to join our R&D team in Cornwall. Whether you're an experienced FPGA engineer looking for your next challenge or a talented graduate with relevant FPGA project experience, this role offers the opportunity to work on next-generation digital audio products that are used by audio professionals across the globe.

What you'll be doing
- Designing and implementing FPGA solutions for professional digital audio products using VHDL.
- Developing high-quality, reusable RTL code for AMD Xilinx FPGA platforms, as well as Lattice and Gowin devices.
- Creating and maintaining robust simulation and verification environments.
- Performing synthesis, implementation and static timing analysis using industry-standard FPGA toolchains.
- Working closely with FPGA, DSP, Electronics and Embedded Software engineers to develop integrated solutions.
- Supporting hardware bring-up, debugging and system integration activities.
- Contributing to technical reviews, architecture discussions and future technology decisions.
What we're looking for
- FPGA or ASIC design experience using VHDL or Verilog.
- Understanding of digital design, timing analysis and verification methodologies.
- Experience with FPGA development tools such as Vivado, ModelSim/Questa or similar.
- Familiarity with embedded systems, DSP and digital electronics.
- A collaborative mindset combined with the ability to work independently on complex technical challenges.
